Title: ??
Rating: PG-13 for language and sexual smut
Plot: Jenn dumps Bam (I'll believe in God when it happens), and Ville is there to comfort the poor lambkin.
It was another swelteringly hot evening. Bam meandered aimlessly around his house, stopping every so often to remember things. As he rounded the corner, he came face-to-face with his favorite spot. A shaded area, near the trees surrounding his property. There was a post there, and he didn’t know what the hell it was for. No one else did, either.
He slumped against it, pulling a pack of cigarettes out of his hoodie pocket. Fumbling in the pocket for his lighter, he felt a piece of scrunched up paper. Making sure no one else was nearby, he pulled it out, and stared at it. Realizing that he couldn’t read it in the light, he moved slightly towards his house.
Now Bam remembered what it was. But he still wanted to read it, to refresh his memory.
“Bam,” it said. “Sweetie, we’ve been through a lot-Viva La Bam being filmed, moving, Haggard, the Jackass movie- but I really don’t think it’s working out. You’re always going to see that Valo guy. I don’t like it, Bam, I don’t. As much as I love you, I have to wonder what the hell you and him are doing. I’m sorry, baby.
Love, Jenn.”
“Sorry?” Bam whispered into the night. “Fuck her.” He found his lighter in his pant pocket, and, holding the letter up, lit it on fire. He watched the paper burn, watched the ashes fall. He smiled deviously, and lit a cigarette. “Fuck her, fuck this, fuck everyone on the fucking earth,” he said, as best he could with something in his mouth. “Well, not Ville. Not in the bad sense. In the good sense.” He laughed at his dirty humor.
“Dude, are you gonna celebrate your newly single-ness in the Pirate Bar, or are you gonna spend the night wandering around your house during a thunderstorm?” Bam turned towards his house doors and saw Dunn standing there.
What thunderstorm? Bam wondered. He looked all around, and, sure enough, a huge bolt of lightning shot down and hit somewhere off to his right.
“I’m coming in, dude,” he yelled, and stubbed his cigarette out. As he ran into the house, the rain began to fall, like fat tears rolling down a huge face.
”Bam, dude, you were out there so long we thought you’d gone, like, emo on us,” Rake said, clutching a bottle of beer.
“Yeah, mourning your long lost love or something,” Brandon added.
“Long lost love? Bullshit. Good riddance to her, is what I say,” Bam said, cockily.
“Nice,” Raab said, slapping him on the back and handing him an ice cold something. Bam and his friends strode to the Pirate Bar. As soon as Bam entered the bar and looked around, his face fell.
“Who’s here?” he asked Dunn.
“You, me, Rake, Raab, Brandon, your brother, um…” Dunn looked around the kitchen. “A few of the Jackass guys…”
“Is Ville here?”
“Ville? No, I didn’t invite him.”
“Fuck. Where is he?”
“How the hell am I supposed to know?”
“Hold up a second.” Bam went into another room and picked up his phone, dialing Ville’s number. “Please pick up, please pick up,” he said, quietly. Just as the phone began to ring, he heard someone come up behind him.
“So, Bam, you’ve let another good girl go. What was wrong with this one?” Bam jumped and slammed down the phone.
“Shit, Ape!” he said, surprised to see his mother standing in front of him. He looked at the phone. “Shit!” he cried again.
“Really, Bam, what was wrong with her?”
“Ape, I didn’t dump her. She dumped me. In a letter.”
“Really? Can I see it?” Bam’s face fell.
“Not anymore.”
“Why not?”
“Because I burned it.”
“Bam, I-” April faltered, and shook her head. “I don’t know what to do with you. You finally find a decent girl, not some random groupie hanging around after one of HIM’s shows, and you manage to blow it somehow. It looked so perfect, you guys seemed to be in love, you wanted to marry her, for God’s sakes. You told me you were getting her a diamond ring. And now, you’ve lost that.”
“Mom, you have no idea what was going on between me and Jenn, okay? So stay out of it.” Bam picked the phone up again, ready to press redial. April slammed the phone back down onto the cradle.
“No, you listen to me. Bam, we raised you better than this! Okay, so Don Vito isn’t the best role model. But look at me and your father.”
“April. Don’t tell me this family served as a good role model. Right now, I need to be with my friends.”
“There’s another thing I don’t understand. You have a good relationship with a girl you love, and once you break up with her, or whatever, you throw a party! Why, Bam?”
“Now isn’t the time to grill me. I want to call Ville and ask him if he can come over. He’s a good kid, Mom. And maybe I love him more than I loved Jenn.” As soon as the words left his mouth, he regretted it. But April just thought he was exaggerating.
“Whatever Bam. I need to go to bed. I’ll see you in the morning,” she called over her shoulder as she left. “Oh, and you’re cleaning up the mess. I’m not doing any of it.”
Bam shook his head and picked the phone up, redialed Ville’s number, and as Ville’s voice greeted his ears, he felt himself feel elated.
“Ville, baby, where are you?”
“In West Chester. I heard you were having a party, but I wasn’t invited. The invite must’ve got lost in the mail.”
“I’ll deal with it later,” Bam said, visioning him punching Dunn in the groin. He laughed. “Ville, get your skinny ass over here.”
“I’m on my way. See you in a couple of minutes, kiddo.” Bam laughed as Ville blew a kiss over the phone.
Ville was true to his word. Bam leaped up and grabbed him around the waist as soon as he got in the door. Ville steered Bam towards Bam’s bedroom.
As soon as they entered the room, Ville got all bossy.
“Bam, I know you’ve done this with me before. Just because Jenn dumped you doesn’t mean I’m going to forget the sex and just hold you in my arms all night. We will be doing both.”
