 why does disorder increase and why do we remember the past but not the future? time is treated as if it were a straight railway line where one could only go in one direction or the other. but what if the railway line had loops and branches so that a train could keep moving forward but come back to a station it had already passed? any physicist ( Read more... )

in the sunset of dissolution, everything is illuminated by the aura of nostalgia. what is death compared to memories of a lost period in life, a period that will never return? i believe in nietzsche's theory of eternal return, but i understand that our lives can stand out against those heaviest of burdens in splendid lightness.
