eggshell beak
sunflower seeds
in their pudding cheeks

rolling tongues
and feeling fingers
cradles like human nails round flesh of those white fingers on a baby just born.
skin swirled like carmel rings
it's dipping sweets in happy endings
where we're saving side pieces for last and catching hard breaths to save ourselves from hunger

I miss school.

This is saddening.
