Big blue bandaid.
My poor V! Fell off a tricycle at daycare, and got a boo boo on her left elbow. Two trips to the ER at Children's, and a visit to the pediatrician's in between, (and $200+ in copays and parking) later, and she's got a shiny blue cast. In finally finished agonizing over paint for V's room. Hooray!
For anyone looking for VOC-free paint that won't break the bank, try Lowe's for the Olympic Premium pant. TONS of colors (compared to the pitiful offering from Home Despot), and not terribly expensive. We'll see how it goes up. -

Typical, isn't it?
So last week was gorgeous as far as the weather was concerned. It was also the week that Veronica came down with Hand, Foot and Mouth disease, and I contracted conjunctivitis.
What about this week, now that I'm a) healthy and b) actually on vacation? Yeah, 50s and rain. Someone has a sense of humour. -
Note to future self:
When making pancakes, do not let your two-year-old shake the salt into the mix.
PS: Over-salted pancakes taste like pretzels. We may be on to something here... -
