Envy
Muraki was being pleasant enough. He was taking care to be courteous and charming and as non-threatening as was possible for someone such as him. But inside he was seething with anger and something else he couldn’t quite place. Like an odd sense of betrayal - only not.
For the first time ever, Tsuzuki wasn’t really paying him any attention at all and it was painfully obvious that the brunette was thinking of someone else. It was all too much for the doctor to take and so he politely excused himself, clenching his fists momentarily at how relieved the other man looked to have been let off the hook so easily. He just had to know whom it was that was making the shinigami’s purple eyes sparkle with such excitement and contentment.
As he left the restaurant he ducked silently around the corner and waited. In no time at all, Tsuzuki came out and took out his cell phone, texting a quick message to someone - or at least, that appeared to be what he was doing from Muraki’s vantage point.
His eyes narrowed as the brunette leant against the wall, apparently waiting for someone. I bet its that little brat - I just knew there was something going on between those two! But his musings were cut short as the object of Tsuzuki’s affections revealed himself - and it wasn’t Hisoka.
The man had long blonde hair tied back with orange ribbon and he wore a long brown coat - Muraki didn’t recognise this one. The doctors eyes widened as the invader, this thief, kissed the brunette fiercely and they both teleported back to…
Muraki shuddered and tried to get the bedroom thoughts out of his head - he couldn’t bear to picture Tsuzuki with anyone but himself.
Now in a foul mood, he made to go out into the night and stalk a new victim - take his anger out on whichever unfortunate soul crossed his path first. And that was when he placed a name to that emotion that was making him feel betrayed. Punching the wall, he turned to go home, abandoning all plans for murder tonight.
He never could admit it when he was jealous.
