Carbo-robics

We've heard a lot of talk about carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and how to curb them. (Note that one does not "reduce" or "diminish" or "decrease" emissions; one "curbs" them.) Speaking of bleeding off excess intelligence....have you seen this book?

Their "catastrophes" include the old trope about DDT being banned by environmentalists, and the horrors wreaked by the (bc) pill on aquatic species. (Yes, I know it's a real issue, but note which culprit they singled out.)

It rates 4.5 stars on Amazon, which suggests a dearth of knowledgeable reviewers. Just sayin'...

Ugh, yeah-that reminds me of the "Politically Incorrect" series of books, which happen to be incorrect in most other ways as well. The only one I know much about is the evolution, or as author and ID apologist Jonathan Wells calls it, "Darwinism." At least in the case of pro-ID books and almost certainly your "really inconvenient truths" book as well, when such a book appears on Amazon, a cadre of shills from conservative think tanks (like the Discovery Institute) will immediately post a fusillade of glowing reviews, and then mark each other's reviews as "helpful." Luckily, sometimes popular opinion can overwhelm this kind of trumped-up popularity drive-see, for example the reviews of the pro-ID propaganda movie Expelled.
