Bumper Stickers V

It's bumper sticker time again!

During our cross-country drive the infamous torture bill had passed, and ever since I've been dying to create the following sticker-but I couldn't find the right cutesy font until just now. I recycled a graphic I'd developed for the EvolveFISH contest for use in an entry that was, alas, destined for total obscurity ( Read more... )

Beautiful work.

If you're feeling ambitious, I'd love one for someone like this:

who demanded banning Fahrenheit 451 for objectionable content... though he hasn't actually read the book himself.

Thanks! Wow, wanting to ban a book about banning books during Banned Book Week...the irony is so multilayered and self-referential that my brain hurts just trying to fathom it.

Bee-yoo-tiful, both of them. I'd wear either/both on my bumper.

Dude, the first one is an essential product. It is absolutely perfect as is. You can order custom bumper stickers online on about a million sites, for about $25 for 10 stickers. Also, Cafe Press will let you design stickers, buttons, etc and sell them online.

You can also order bumper sticker paper from Office Depot and such places, if you are a real do-it-yourselfer and have access to a good printer.

Aw, thanks! I've looked at a couple of custom bumper-sticker companies, but they only let the customer specify the text, font and colors; they couldn't reproduce just any old picture. Can you recommend one?

Strictly speaking, yes; but in this case, the correct grammar would sound so stuffy as to clash with that font. Also, I'm following a tradition of anti-Bush slogans, the first of which was probably "Who would Jesus bomb?"

I just looked at the Landover Baptist Store and found their version of the same thing. I like mine better; that one looks like a rush job. This bumper sticker is cleverer-I just might have to score a copy.

I still think yours is better. The cutesy font is perfect.

Heh-heh-yes, that was the essential component. I looked everywhere, and finally hit the jackpot, amazingly, on my computer at work-it was pre-installed with the system.
