Hi!

Okay, so I guess some of you guys added me after I got drunk in the Power Rangers post. Just a fair warning because I don't want to lie or seem confusing: this is a "sock puppet" account. All of the information in the profile is fake, and I keep this lj only for access to ONTD. Even the handful of posts on here are entirely made-up. I won't be ( Read more... )

Hee! Don't mean to stalk you here! Just saw our deleted posts - I had fun talking perfume w/ you! :-) I can't remember if the authors of http://www.amazon.com/Perfumes-Guide-Luca-Turin/dp/B001JJBO74/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1242958855&sr=8-1 discussed Britney Spears, I think they did say that Fantasy was actually a decent perfume (for several reasons).

They don't hit EVERY single perfume under the sun b/c the landscape changes ALL the time! And they might have skipped things like HUMMER's perfume b/c who wants to hear about that? hee

Yeah, no one wants to smell like soap candies (or, a few years back really "Green" smelling perfumes like the one Isabella Rosellini (sp) had out were popular - I don't want to smell like a lawn!!

Haha it's okay! I have this journal for that very reason - so people don't have a reason to look for my real info.

I get so many compliments when I wear Curious. I'm not a purist about that sort of thing. I got Rock N Rose as a gift, and I like it enough to wear through the bottle, though I don't think I'll buy it for myself. There's a weird green/clay phase before it gets down to the sweet flowery/vanilla base.

That's why I have my journal too, just for fun stuff, my life isn't on here. I have never tried Curious - I just got through a sample of Believe (not bad), but I totally agree w/ what you said - celebrity perfumes aren't nec. a bad thing. They're often a lot more accessible than ye olde whatever else is out there.

When I bought JC I almost bought SJP's Covet - I know it has a "green" smell, but I really loved it! RNR is pretty, as well, but at the end of the day it gets a bit strange, I agree.

OH! Tell NO ONE! The last perfume I LOVED? Seriously? Joan Rivers Now & Forever. I got a million compliments from everyone on it, it was pretty, floral, light, but LASTED all day, and they've discontinued it. I almost cried.

My sister wears SJP's Lovely. It's quite nice, although it's more mature than I like, and it can get this odd sharp twinge to it after a while and give you a headache.

Have you tried the newest J.Lo one? I forget the name, but the bottle is meant to look like a raw uncut diamond. I didn't like it because it reminded me too much of sunscreen.

Hi there! I know this is a longshot, but I really love this username and not to be presumptuous, but I noticed you haven't updated in a while. If you aren't active on it anymore, would you be willing to give the name to me? You could, of course, delete all the content first, or if you'd prefer, you could give me the password and I could delete it all myself. Thanks so much in advance for considering it! If you'd like, you can also email me at glossimers@gmail.com
