Well, it's sad for me, but also quite good. I don't really want to think about how it must ultimately end, but I'm glad fic writers can go there.

I like how they're both willing to keep up the pretense mainly for the other's sake. Or at least I think Wilson is doing it for House as well as himself.

Sad, but touching that Wilson wants to keep going and having fun with House, and House wants to let him. Ya gotta know the road trip isn't going to last forever :(

I sure can see how it's therapeutic. I suspect that what gives Wilson the energy to go on with their ride is precisely the knowledge that, when time comes, House will be unselfish enough to let him go. Staying a bit longer is his last gift to House as well as to himself.

Thank you for reminding us that the last bit of the road may be as enjoyable (or more) than the rest. I found this very comforting: as you said, you aren't adding any suffering that wasn't already implied in the finale.

I did find it very sad, but in the best way possible. This was a lovely piece, and very on point for the characters (Wilson dismissing his symptoms, and House knowing better but wanting to enjoy what time they have left). Well done.
