smtp server address?

rogers recommends 'mail' as the pop/smtp server, but it isn't being resolved properly behind my router.

is there an alternative i can use like nntp.broadband.rogers.com that can be used for news?

EDIT: i see that smtp.broadband.rogers.com is functional, will have to give that a try.
