I adored this when I read it some time ago. Mycroft's quiet moment with John was something we'd been craving before season three when we finally got some private moments with Mycroft. I love the feel of this story.
Gunna go read it again now.

I hope it was just as good for you this time around. It's a story I hadn't read in a while either, so I was glad to go back to it. Yes, to everything you said. The action stories are a blast, but I love the quieter stories as well.

Seconding this with all my heart. ivywatcher is one of my favourite Sherlock writers and this is such a touching, beautiful portrayal of Sherlock and Mycroft's complicated relationship. Not even to mention a highly imaginative re-telling of one of the most famous ACD stories.
