I got a couple of CD's the other day, one called "Brewed In Texas", and Randy Rogers Band's "Roller Coaster". I haven't had a chance to listen to all of the tracks yet, but I've been playing the hell out of Randy's "I Miss You With Me" and "Tonight's Not The Night". I've liked everything I've listen to on the rest of his album, it's pretty damn ( Read more... )

I read that "Tonight's Not The Night" was released, back in July I think. You might've heard it and not known it was him, or maybe you just forgot. I know there's heaps of good stuff on the radio down there, I'd probably stay broke if I lived there and had easier access to it all.

My local Wal-Mart is starting to carry a little bit of the Texas music though, I think that's a very good sign. Last time I looked at the CD's, I saw a couple of Jason Boland disc's. I think they have always carried some of Pat Green's earlier stuff too.

"I Miss You With Me" is my *favorite* Randy Rogers song! Hope work is fun!

Oh, is it alright if I put your CCR site as the URL for the community?

The more I listen to it, the more I like it better than "Tonight's Not The Night". The thing that I really noticed about Randy Rogers is the way he perfectly puts the fiddle in his songs. Using the fiddle to follow a sad line just adds so much impact to the entire song.

Yeah sure, you can add it as the link. I should really be asking you if you would put it as the link! I'd really appreciate it though, and will be adding a link to the LJ group on the links page there. I haven't done much with the site in the last few days though. The layout is basically done, but I'm going to redo part of the navigational bar so I can add more stuff to the site. When all but the bio page is done, I'll officially launch the site. I'm going to try to write my own bio about the band, both as a whole, and for each person. That's what's gonna take the time. I've been researching some though, and have found a number of interviews, reviews, and press release type things.
