Amy has a pen-pal! Well, for the purpose of this book she does, anyway. Don't worry though, Amy has not yet turned fake 16 so therefore Lizzie still gets to be her BFF!

I always felt kind of bad for Amy because when she's friends with Liz, she's considered boring and when she's friends with Jess, she's considered a slut. The twins are just as boring/slutty as Amy. The poor girl can't win either way.

Oh yeah I totally agree. It's just that any plot with her, especially in SVT, is probably going to induce tiredness and yawning.She's just so dull in this series.

I get points. Buddy kind of sounds like Buddy Holly what with the glasses and nerdy look.

I think it's amazing how we all keep finding the Todd loves Whales jokes too.

I lent this book to a friend and never got it back. I was sad. And I could swear the name Teen Talk is used for some magazine in the Unicorn Club series, in Too Close For Comfort - the one where they have German measles.

Because you are SV obsessive? Hehe! You see, I thought I'd heard Teen Talk somewhere else as well. Unfortunately, we never get to know of Jessica's 8, yes, EIGHT, other suggestions for the show. That heart breaking. It's mine!

So does Sam apologize to her parents for being a selfish wench and running away while her little sister is in the hospital and being pissy about it when they come looking for her? Poor sick sister is probably coughing pathetically somewhere and wondering why her parents took off so abruptly and when they'll come back.

And this makes, what, three different Sams in the SV continuum? Jeez.

Come on, this is Sweet Valley we're talking about. As soon as her parents enter the city limits they instantly become forgiving and don't make her apologise. Of course, once they leave, they might shake off the bad parenting influence and like, ground her or something. Probably not, though!

Yeah, three I think. You've got Sam in this book, dead Sam in SVH and then isn't there one in SVU?

Of course her parents wouldn't object. I'm surprised they didn't just assume that Amy had a twin sister all these years, they just forgot about the twin.

I was somewhat jealous of the attention received by my sister when she had a minor operation. I was six. I didn't run away.

Well, we never learn what's wrong with Emily the sick sister but it sounds like it was something really bad, like cancer, but then she miraculously got better and is coming home etc etc. Sam doesn't even admit she feels bad about her sister. Just about her lack of attention and how everyone else's parents went to horse shows and hers didn't.
