I don't even know these characters and I loved it. But then, I appreciate teacher humour. Nice job.

nash: ^_^

daniel: are you sure you want to do that?

i took out the part where he says "don't let the hawaiian shirt fool you - i'm not jimmy buffett and i can't be swayed with a cheeseburger and a margarita." because he did show up to teach in a hawaiian shirt and jeans and biker boots.

I so want to take this class, it's made to sound amusingly interesting and that's the major hurtle on learning most anything. Nash appears to have the makings to be a great professor.

nash: i'm already a great professor. *flexes*

daniel: *eyeroll*

i think i would've wanted to take it too when i was in college, even tho i took physics in high school and it was hard. nash figures if he makes it interesting, more people will want to do science and not, like, business or law or money management or something boring,

oh, how wonderful. he reminds me of my philosophy professor from my sophomore year. after a while i swear that students were leaving their cellphones on just for the amusement of having him answer it. he also liked to start class off (at 9 in the morning) with a loud yell. it was recently discovered that he starts staff meetings off the same way and. . . now i really miss him. why can't all professors be that much fun?

anyway, i can't pick a favorite quote because they're all good, and i especially love the "partners" reference.

a month or so later....

cell phone: *rings*
nash: *keeps lecturing*
cell phone: *rings*
nash: are you going to answer that?
student: *answers phone* hiican'ttalki'minclassrightnowtalktoyoulaterbye. *tries to sink into the floor*
nash: ^_^

i liked the partners reference too. he's very casual about bringing it up. and thanks. :>

Love! My geeky little heart skipped a beat when there was mention of chaos theory.

nash sez: well i AM a chaos theorist, you know.

daniel and grad students: you certainly bring the chaos....

if he can turn one person on to his chosen field of study, he'll be a happy camper. and thanks, i'm glad you like. :>
