Thank you :) Especially for the use of the word pootling, which made my day (it's been years).
The crocodile log made me laugh when I saw it... the light little fungi growing along it look like teeth, which couldn't have been planned. I often wonder if how many people see the crocodile when they pass it.
The lichen and the carved heart are soooo beautiful. Excellent photos! In both cases I love how the focus fades away in the background and the eye is drawn to the foreground.
Man, that crocodile-head log is hilarious. You find the best things. :) Lush is a wow picture too--I love how the pinkpurple flower stands out so much against all that green. (Glad to see it's sunny somewhere!) Texture and Carved are great too. I like your use of depth of field. :D
Gosh, thank you! Yeah, since moving here I seem to be finding things to photograph around every corner. And we're having an actual summer this year... a lot of rain, but actual sunshine in between!

Pretty thistle, beautiful light on carved, and texture is gorgeous - looks like a tiny little sea-urchin pootling along the sea bed :-)
And the crocodile made me smile :-)

*giggle* We use that one a lot. I think it's a jolly good word and should be used more often. Likewise "ninnyhammer". Now there's a proper insult :-)

I love the carved heart and I saw the log before I saw what you said about it and thought the same exact thing.

Now I'm wondering how many people that log has actually eaten.
