Thanks to MySky (Tivo) *pause for rapturous holy sound of joy* I watched a documentary on a polygamist that got sent to jail, and my god, it was such a soft sell documentary it made me laugh. It was added in almost at the end the fact that they had all been 14 when he 'married' them, bar one who had been 13. The more it went on, the more they scratched the surface, that picture postcard happy simple life they showed to visitors with woman knowing their place and wearing floral frocks and loads of tosseled haired urchins scampering about was quickly dispelled.

At the end he was almost in tears as he said 'People can question that I married so many woman, or that I married them so young, but nobody, nobody should question that I ever committed benefit fraud.' Which he did, but way to rank your priorities there, mate.

Treating woman like non-people and being a pedo, nowhere as bad as ripping off money from the state.

Have you seen this? I am frothing at the mouth. "Blackmore has been reported to have fathered about 80 children by 26 wives, some as young as 15 when he allegedly married them." Religious persecution, my ass.

My favorite comment: "Everyone watch for the creation of the UBOC church... United Burgulars of Canada... Because hey, if robbery is illegal but part if their religion, aren't we horrible to persecute those poor thieves."

Seems like legalizing polygamy would solve many of those problems.
