I'm noticing an interesting trend. The places I interview with tell me the maximum salary they are willing to pay right away, in the first few minutes of the conversation. That way, if I'm not interested, nobody wastes time. Of course that means no negotiation either - take it or leave it.
And the salaries are low compared to what I made at ******. I have no way of determining if that's what the market is today or not. Monster and Salary.com are very difficult to use for salary scales.
