... marriages : that was about 5 to 3 years ago, when several friends were getting married and I attended wedding feasts big and small. Was even emcee for 2 of them!
... births: that was about 2 to 1 year ago when a few friends gave birth. An eye-witness experience of the elastic tummy and amazing strength of the mummy as well as the unvocalized potency of the daddy!
... deaths: the past six months. First, a colleague died of cancer in June. Then, my mother died in August. A month later, an uncle died. Another month later, an aunt died. Today, I attended the wake of my ex-boss' mother. I had bumped into my ex-boss at the hospital when he was visiting his mother and I was visiting my father*. At today's wake, a work associate related that his father died one month ago.
Hmm... let's hope the periods stop there for the time being!
(*that was during the 3rd out of the 4 times my father was admitted in the last 2 months.)
