music is amazing
it's interesting how i started this day out thinking that for the most part it would be boring... i was just going to get up, check email, go to the gym, and look for an odd job for the weekends on craigslist. the only interesting thing that will happen tonight is going to be going over to paradox's for a photo shoot. yet, once i turned on my lappy and started playing ben folds five, i immediately felt excited and happy about today. just because of the music putting me in a good mood. it also reminds me of home and makes me simultaneously home sick, but excited to have already planned out a trip back to the bay in march. i know it's a cliche, but i think it's one that people don't really take seriously, and it's that music has great power. the power to make people feel a certain way (and on some subtle levels to permanently change their mood); it has the power to inspire people to do things and can take you back to a specific place and time. i really don't think that music should be underestimated.
