so i saw wicked last night and it was mind-blowingly amazing! the set was awesome, the theatre was gorgeous, the singing phenomenal, and everything else was just on! it kept you captivated and awed the entire time! and it was really funny on top of that. the first half kinda follows the book, but the second half just goes somewhere completely different. which is fine by me, i just treat it as a new story all on its own (i actually prefer that it does its own thing, cause i don't think a live performance, trying to closely follow the book, would do it justice). but this show is so much fun! i absolutely loved it! and now i'm completely obsessed (which is rare, cause i'm not usually a musical person). i already bought a shirt and am currently downloading the soundtrack. if you ever get a chance i highly recommend you see it!
