man last night i listened to the edward scissorhands score on like repeat. haha. i think that ice dance my be the most beautiful thing ever on the planet. danny elfman is a genius. man i remember, i used to get so excited every time i would see his name at the beginning of a movie. it started out just mostly as name recognition when i was like seven haha but i've always followed his work. and he was the only redeeming thing about the nightmare before christmas. i have no idea why i don't care for that movie, except that it is a world that is completely alien to me and i have no desire to have any part in it, even from a viewing perspective. ick. i'm weird.
but tonight i'm going to burn all my movie scores to my ipod and listen to them. i have always, always loved those, i think because until i was probably like five or six all we listened to was classical music. my parents are such pretentious bastards rofl. my favorite score ever though, overall, is the one from forrest gump. omg alan silvestri is a genius.
