So, in Sci-fi, we have to read a lot of books that relate to censorship and how it ultimately turns us into a totalitarian society. So, am I the only one who finds it ironic that I get censored in that class?
We had to write a satire, and since I'm lazy I just gave her a copy of Dora the Illegal (Hey, nobody jumped me in Creative Writing, so why would it be a problem in Sci-Fi?). While I was reading it in class, everyone was on the floor laughing their asses off. In fact, the five mexicans in the class were laughing the hardest. Of course, a lot of people were just laughing at my teacher's face and how she looked like she was going to kill me. Alas, right as I was at the part where Dora and Boots have to cross the Rio Grande, my teacher stopped me and had me sit down. Then after class she told me that I should rewrite it to make the "message" more clear. Peh, it's a satire! I even asked people, and they got the message in it!
Oh well - what I was able to do is already the talk of the school. I've had several people pat me on the back for it, and quite a few people ask for copies of it, and I didn't even finish reading it!
It would have been even better if I could have shown the pictures.
In other news, my librarians found the story I wrote for Creative Writing that was essentially me talking about how many computer rules I break in that class. I'm starting to worry now that Mr. Bowels might have found it.
