I was thinking of how things like the London terror are made even sadder for me when the places hold such familiarity for me. I spent three months (probably some of the best time of my life thus far) in those areas. And when people were talking about how London is resilient, I was like, "Dammit, don't you tell me that! I know these people, I know these places, I know they will get through it!"
And the first thing I wanted to do when I heard the news.... get on a plane and hug the mother country, my other home, and a large portion of my being, as it seems.
