On the Brink!

Picked up the Pandemic expansion pack today. Now we can play the Virulent Disease, Mutation, or Bio-Terrorist variations, as well as making it even more fiendishly difficult in all sorts of other ways. Who wants to play?

Also, picked up The Republic of Rome, a 1-6 player game that is inspired by a couple of centuries of Roman history. It looks a bit long and complicated (estimated time is 3-5 hours), but also comes highly recommended by the guys at Table Top. Apparently it's an improved reprint of a title that first came out 30 years ago. The general point is to build your own power, but you have to be careful how much you screw over other players -- weaken the Republic too much, and the barbarians can invade. Or ally with another player to send someone troublesome off to the provinces, but hope that they don't meet with military success and return even more powerful than they were. Anyone up for playing this one? (Won't be super soon, as it seems like a Friday night or Saturday game, and those are pretty full for me for the next few weeks.)
