as it turns out, the arrival of Zuriel has kept me pretty tied up. What computer time I get usually involves a little bundle of cute curled up in one arm as I try to type out some sort of message for people to read about what's going on. I usually only make it so far as a few lines before either he wakes up or my arm gets tired.
Anyway, Zuriel was born on July 16th. There were some complications in the labor, so I did have to have a c-section, which I must say wasn't too terrible except that I was hooked up to a million tubes and wires afterward. We've been home since last Friday and have been generally trying to adjust to the new way of life.
By the way, some of the nurses overseeing me at the hospital sucked. They reinforced the reason that I don't generally trust medical professionals (though my nurse/midwife, the doctor who performed my c-section and the anesthesiologist were all very impressive and made me feel very comfortable).
So, in closing, here's a bunch of pictures of him
here and also his online birth announcement
here.
