Leverage - TNT Sunday

Dec 03, 2008 22:48

Last Wednesday I had a goal, a determination that would not go away. I found out that the director of the new TNT series Leverage was going to have a Q&A and would be presenting the pilot episode to a group of people. I wanted to be in that audience and just became irritated with myself and sad that I couldn't go because I didn't have my membership.

I kept on thinking I am suppose to be there. Long story short, I got my way :) . It's good to make friends with people that can get you in. So I saw the pilot episode and met the Director/Producer of the show Dean Devlin. If the name sounds familiar it's probably because he produced Independence Day, The Patriot, ...check him out on IMDB.

It was bitter/sweet. Sweet to meet and hear advice from the man and bitter because it was too short. I made the most out of it. The series goes back to the idea of the fun series we grew up with...Mission Impossible, Macgyver (SP?), the A-Team. After seeing the pilot I must say I didn't care much for the blond character, however the series is worth giving it a try. It wasn't WOW I MUST SEE THIS, but it is good enough to give it a try and see where it goes.

One of the actors was there as well ,Aldis Hodge. He has been on different series such as Supernatural, CSI, Bones... long list. The whole point is the experience was awesome. It gives me a sense that I am moving and it motivates me to want to pursue. The next day I could not concentrate at work thinking of scenes from stories I have worked on before.

I have an itch that won't go away. :)
