Last night was the company x-mas party, entertaining indeed. Two people got wasted and one of them caused a scene. As a friend mentioned, you'd think with all the commercials that go around "what goes in Vegas stays in Vegas" that people would know better. However, I must add, seeing people make fools of themselves is priceless.
Overall I enjoyed myself and the chance to speak with others and bond with them. In comparison to Sarasota I have managed to meet more people in less than six months than I did in two years living in Florida. For the most part they were friends of my friend and it's hard to count co-workers when really you have no choice but to see them everyday. I have had choices, I have taken advantage of them over here. It's a breath of fresh air.
The most important thing of being in the party is that it really felt like family. We all hugged and had the chance to be among friends rather than co-workers. For a moment I felt proud to be part of the team and wished positive moments like that could last. I wish I were in another office and yet I understand why I am not. It's a heartfelt feeling knowing that I won't be seeing them next year under the same circumstances, but when it comes to making a decision either I do it based on emotions or I do it for my future. It's time to move on to the next step...
... COLORADO BABY!!!
Only for four days, nevertheless will make each day count.
Blah, blah, me gone.
Will update when I get back from Colorado.
