halloween...what a magical day. little kids dressing up in their favorite superheroes, their favortie tv show characters, what they want to be when they grow up. running around pulling their parents along to get as much candy as they can. skipping the houses they give little candy and hitting up the houses with tons of candy. how wrong is this? i did this too. so yes, i'm a hypocrite. but how truthful is this to the actual meaning of the holiday? this holiday is based on the wiccan holiday of all hallowseve. the new year of many pagan witchcraft religions. celebration isn't about the candy and a spooky day. so how did this holiday get so messed? along with christmas, easter, and many other major holidays? companies trying to sell stuff. there used to be a meaning to each holiday and now here in america it seems many have lost sight of the meaning. it's all about the candy, the gifts, the eggs, the turkey. it's not about the caring and giving and sharing. what's happened to our world?
