i'm not even in the country, and all this election bullshit has me kind of depressed. i don't like that people are so divided, i don't like all the lying, etc. etc. i just want tuesday to be over, so we can have a president one way or another. and i want people to shut the fuck up, but that's not going to happen.
i'm also tired of the whole gay rights thing. minnesota is voting on amending gay rights, and i fucking hope that this fucking bill isn't passed (which would allow gays to marry). i don't understand people's reasoning... "i don't care what gays do, but I DON'T WANT MY CHILDREN TO SEE IT AND I DON'T WANT THEM TO MARRY RABBLE RABBLE I'M AN ASSHOLE"
don't pretend to not be a bigot when you are. if you're willing to deny the rights of a group of people because they aren't like you, it makes me sick. the united states was started as a place to be free from religious persecution.
i get so angry about this that i can't say anything rationally, which doesn't help. i want my country, whether i'm there or not, to show the world that we're not what everyone thinks we are. that we're something much, much better than that, and that we can do everything i know we're capable of.
