o_O: Cross-site posting weirdness
So…
harryronbigbang went live today, and the stories are posted on the Dreamwidth comm, which makes sense, because the entry limits are so much longer on DW that even the 35,000 word stories fit in a single entry.
All of the organizing was done on harryronbigbang, which, okay. That makes sense, if you think the people who are going to participate are on LJ, that makes sense.
But, the comments are disabled on the Dreamwidth entries where the stories are posted, and one is directed to comment at LJ! This is so weird to me. It just seems like a lot of unnecessary extra work. In their shoes, I would have just done a masterpost on the LJ comm and let the comments go on DW. (Maybe with an explanation of how to comment via openid? or maybe I would just leave anonymous comments on.)
Anyway, I just had to share, because it was so damn weird.
