Purim Gifts are open!

The story written for me was delightful, but it appears to be the first part of something, so I shall link you to it when it is complete.

The story I wrote was well-received by my recipient, which is always lovely.

There were a number of quite good stories, including a Middleman fic that was delightfully in character, a Leverage/Dresden crossover which was very nice, and a Vorkosigan future fic in which shit is about to get real. (Again, these appear to be the first of parts, so I'll wait until the end to link you.)

A complete story which I liked very much, California Girls, is Gaila&Uhura and wrestles with the unconscious prejudices of naïve Earth human boys.

Some other stories I liked:
One thing I've noticed this year, which didn't seem as much of an issue last year, although perhaps I've just read more widely this year: more than one story which doesn't really appear to be about a woman or a Jewish person or fighting an evil vizier. A couple of these stories were ones that were really nice, and I might have recommended to you, had they not been produced for
purimgifts. As it is, although this is the sort of ficathon for which I am inclined to offer more feedback than usual, I look at those stories and silently withdraw, wondering why people don't get it.
