Yuletide Feedback

Dec 25, 2009 03:11

Two stories were written for me, and now I am so happy, I do the dance of joy.

Musicality (NCIS: Los Angeles, Teen & Up, Sam Hanna)

Thank you. This was exactly what I wanted, a full picture of Sam, and he's got layers and backstory and wants and desires of his own.
I love the relationship with Dom here, that combination of mentoring and looking at the pretty rings really true to me.

I love how you make him an Artiste, but then, you take it out of the realm of cliche and ground him in the history of his genre, and you place him solidly in LA, giving the story a sense of place in just a couple of references.

I saw what you did there, with Hetty's sexuality still being apparent in te things she does for her agents' asses. Also, I love that sort of all-knowing M vibe she has going, where she knows more about everyone than you might really expect.

And I love, love, love the relationship with G, that sense of turning him into a real boy with a lot of love and maybe even more patience.

Thank you so much, this story was what I really wanted, and I love it.

The one and only thing you could do to make this story better for me, Dear Yulewriter, is to tag it with Dark Agenda Challenge.

Not Looking For Sweet Talk (Leverage, Mature, AEP)

You had me at hello. Or actually at this is clearly some sort of weird glitch in the matrix.

I love how Hardison is just not prepared, but really happy to be here.

I loved learning about a new sex toy! I love Parker being ready, and telling them what to do, and not being the awkward or indecisive one.

I am really kind of grooving on Eliot and Alec not talking about the sex they were having. And I am amused greatly by Hardison starting in on this script of "how to make up for infidelity" and getting completely derailed by Parker.

The one and only thing you could do to make this story better for me, dear Yulewriter, was if you submit it to the Ladies' Choice collection, after author names are revealed. (I have to ask you to wait because, the way the collection software works, your name would be shown to me early if you submitted it to my collection right away.)

Anyway, thank you so much! I really loved this story, and I was super pleased to get it. It really hit my kinks.

I read one more story before I decided the Archive is better browsed tomorrow. The Principles of Professional Pride, by Precious Ramotswe for
bossymarmalade.

Okay,it was really for maggie, but this story includes so much of what I love about the series : the friendship between Mma Ramotswe and Mma Makutsi, Botswanan pride, Mma Ramotswe's sense of communal justice. All this in a little under 2000 words! It is fun and funny and really wonderful, and it feels as if I got a third Yuletide story. So lovely and warm, if you liked the show, you should go read the story.
