ABC is replaying the Pilot tonight at 9 p.m., and they are also showing it online in its entirety.
The Knights of Prosperity is many things to many people.
It's a half hour no laugh track sitcom. (I've seen no details on whether or not it's single camera, but it has that feel.) The actors are all funny and they have a beautiful sense of timing.
It's a caper flick series, that will take place over the course of a half season. You get an impossible target (Mick Jagger's apartment), you get a crew together (a bunch of guys like you, guys who never had much potential to live up to, and failed to reach that; or else immigrants who were doing fine in their home country, but decided to come to the States for its fabulous opportunity, and can't seem to find it.), you plan a job, you execute it, and you roll with the inevitable complications that real thievery throws your way.
It's a benevolent society which has pledged to donate all proceeds above and beyond paying out everyone's cut to an assortment of charities, and they have awesometastically ugly t-shirts.
It's a new vehicle for Donal Logue (the dad from Grounded for Life), Maz Jobrani (he's a That Guy for South Asian roles), Kevin Michael Richardson (a big black man whose been making a living as a megabass voice actor: Trigon on Teen Titans, Dr. Martin Luther King on The Boondocks, General Wells on Justice League, and Captain Gantu in Lilo & Stitch.)
It's a show about some schlubby, working class, not-conventionally handsome guys who are owninated by the smoking hot and hilarious Sofia Vergara, whom you may have seen in Four Brothers, Lords of Dogtown, or, if you watch Univision, as the host of Fuera de Serie.
It's a really, really funny show that I, EW, the New York Daily News, Laurel of Tvpicks.net, The Washington Post and latxcvi highly recommend. It's normal day and time is Wednesday at 9 p.m., but ABC is repeating the pilot tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern
