Pamela Isley had ruined marriages, lives, careers. It had been her objective. Her purpose. She had enjoyed it, it had made her whole. At least, she had thought so. Now, she sees, she had definitely been missing something valuable. She had been missing friends, which she somehow found in Harley and Selina (regardless of all the trouble she had caused them).
Timothy Drake-Wayne has somehow found his way into that category. But it is different. He is different from Harley and Selina. He tells her she is beautiful, but his eyes stay on her face. He tells her she can find any man she wants, without pheromones, and then lists off names. Timothy means a lot to her, even though he has ruined an astounding number of her plans (but she has stopped with those. Her friends have... changed her).
He is her little seedling. He is small and frail and so very tiny. But there is so much life and strength in him. It impresses her. It endears him to her. No one will ever hurt her baby, her seedling. Nature is a powerful thing, and Pamela fancies herself an embodiment of nature. And she can be powerful when people harm her babies.
“Pamela,” he always uses her full name, where Selina and Harley like to call her Pam or Ivy. It’s sweet. Adorable, really, “uhm. Do you and the girls want to go to the Botanical Gardens in New Jersey? I hear they are nice this time of year.”
That boy is just so sweet.

Harley had had one purpose in life, at least starting at a certain point. Make Mister J happy. That was her goal, her sole reason for living. Because if Mister J wasn’t happy, then she would be even less so, and who wanted to be unhappy (or alone)? She had not known she had been missing something crucial to all women. Girlfriends.
And cute, little Bird Boy Number Three has weaseled his way into that category with his soft words and sky-colored eyes, his shy smiles and startling empathy. It was really hard not to love Tim. He was just so cute (and Harley always has to resist the temptation to pinch his cheeks, even though there isn’t any baby fat on them).
Tim knows what to say, and when. He can braid hair perfectly and he is a deft nail painter. And he listens. He listens like no man in her life ever has. It’s wonderful to be able to talk and talk and talk and have no fear of being yelled at or hit or interrupted.
But he also makes her feel needed. He asks her opinion on things. Do you think my hair is too long? or how do these jeans look, do you think? It’s so amazing to feel like what she says is taken into account! Being with Selina and Pam and Tim is so much fun.
Harley likes to make Tim feel needed too. Especially since Robin Number Two just up and left (but he’ll be back. Who could leave Tim-baby all alone like that?). She cuddles him and sprawls over him and makes sure he feels love all the time. Tim likes it, she thinks. She watches Robin Number One do this all the time.
“Harley, can you help me go shop and pick out some nice clothes? Bruce has this dinner tonight...”
“Sure thing, sweet pea!”
Tim is just so precious.

Selina stole things. Jewels, gold, precious art, precious things. Hearts.
Then she met Batman. He was (still is) sexy and mysterious. All the little birds that have flown with him complemented him well. Then she met Tim. Tim, who had questioned her motives, insulted her, and just generally ruffled her fur. After the incident with Hush, she hadn’t thought much about him.
She had made up with Pam, though. In fact, they became friends. Harley included, of course.
But Selina would never have guessed that she would be sharing her girly thoughts and whims and dreams to them and Tim Drake, that snarky little Robin from way back in the day. He isn’t so snarky anymore. He is much thinner now too. But that doesn’t change the fact that Selina is still sometimes surprised to find him with them.
She sees Bruce a lot more often now, thanks to the kid. Her nails always look flawless, another plus to him.
But she just cannot help but let her maternal instincts run with him, because she has no children (and she’ll be damned if she lets the youngest bird yank her tail). He is just so... lonely looking. Selina wants to bring him friends, take him out to play, tuck him in at night. It’s hard not to want to. The boy is just so damn cute.
“Selina,” the name that Bruce uses without any of Bruce’s tone, “I was wondering if you could help me with Damian’s new cat? It seems to be following me everywhere.”
That boy just begs to be hugged.

Tim had been lonely. Lonely and sad and broken, piece scattered behind him wherever he walked. His purpose had been to find Bruce, to save Gotham, to juggle work and school and life. Tim had been good at juggling. So good, that he had not realized he had been missing out on that much.
Then Jason came along.
And then his friends had come along.
And who is still with him now? Pamela and Selina and Harley. They had been there with him while he was with Jason, cooing over how cute and precious and wonderful they were. And they are here now that he is not with Jason (or, rather, that Jason is not with him).
These women are a part of his family now. They spend so much time at the manor because he spends so much time at the manor. Dick and Damian are almost as close to them as he is (but he doubts they’ll ever get that close). It’s so weird, to have his family so close knit. And Bruce loves having Selina around, Tim can tell. He’s glad that he could bring Selina and Bruce closer together. Pamela and Harley are glad too. All three of them gush at her with him (well, Tim gushes as much as he can gush, which isn’t much). In fact, Tim is an honorary Siren, they say.
“Tim-baby,” Harley calls, “Anakin Skywalker’s about to get married! It’s so lovely! Come and watch with us!” Tim has seen all the Star Wars movies many times. He has just introduced them to it. (He knew they would like to see the prequels first. They are the most romantic, even if Hayden Christensen can be a wooden actor. At least he’s pretty).
“Coming!” He replies from the kitchen. He looks at Jason’s number, dialed into his phone. He could call, this time. He could call.
“Timmmmyyyyy!” That’s Dick. He loves the prequels. Natalie Portman (and Hayden Christensen, but he won’t say so) is to die for.
Tim exits out of the dial screen and sweeps out of the kitchen.
He’ll call Jason later. Maybe. (Probably not.)
Right now, his family is waiting.
