My dream has stopped as I jumped off the bed. Then I looked at the clock and shocked, ‘’YABAI YABAII (dammit)!’’
Today’s the first day of my final exam, and now im late!! I just brushed my teeth and washed my face with the cold water .When I walked out from the room, as I put my sweater on,
‘’late again, huh?’’ one of my housemate, Kato Shigeaki walked down at the stairs.
‘’why DON’T you WAKE ME UP, SHIGE?!’’ I put my shoes on in a speed of light.
And as Shige said, ‘’I did.. but-‘’ I opened my door and ran although I still can hear him saying,
‘’but you didn’t even move an inch, although I knocked at your door like crazy!!’’
Hi! Im Tegoshi Yuya, im a 3rd year college student. You can call me Tegoshi, Tego, Tesshi, or Yuya, just choose!
I lived here in Tokyo together in a house with another 4 guys. 1 of them are student like me, and 3 others are workers.
One that I met on the house is Shige. He’s a law student. With a weird sense of a humor, actually he does have a good brain. And he also like photography, too.
I will introduce you to the 3 others later. Now I got to run as my final EXAM WILL BE START IN 10 MINUTES!!

‘’mooouu~ (geez)..’’ I squatted outside the konbini (convenient store) as I opened my cellphone and looking at it. No calls. No emails. Sighed.
Then someone patted my shoulder. ‘’how’s the exam?’’
I turned around and I saw my other housemate. It’s Kei-chan. Ah, I mean Koyama-kun. He’s 5 years older than me so it’s inappropriate to call him that.
‘’you looked really miserable.’’ He said as he seems worried although he’s laughing at me.
‘’I aaaamm.’’ I messed my hair up as my glasses almost fell down.
‘’doushite (why is that)?’’
Koyama Keiichiro is like our mother in the house. He’s the oldest among us, and he’s working in a kindergarten with his girlfriend. See how motherly is that?
And I never hesitated to tell him my story. So here it is.

‘’two days ago, when I went to goukon (group date party), there’s a girl that caught my attention..’’
Koyama raised his eyebrows, ‘’I bet she’s cute.’’
‘’CHO KAWAII (super cute).’’ I nodded enthusiastically.
He laughs, ‘’because you’re cute, and that would be weird if you’re cuter than her.’’
I snorted as he mocked me.
‘’gomen gomen (sorry)..’’ then he said, ‘’so what’s with this girl?’’
‘’I don’t know, maybe her calm smile attracted me.’’ I smiled sheepishly.
‘’and? Did you get her number?’’
Ah, as I told you before, Koyama is the mother of the house, and he even talked well also straightly like my mother.
‘’yes, actually I did.. but..’’ I looked down at the cellphone. ‘’I don’t have the courage to call her first.’’
Then Kei-chan looked at me and patted my back quite hard, ‘’ma ma (oh well).. don’t worry, you will, tomorrow.’’ As he added with a smile, ‘’hey, why don’t we walked home now, it seems the rain gonna fall down again.’’

Later at night, I sat down by myself at the sofa in the living room upstairs. In this house, there’s 2 living room. The one at downstairs is for guest, and one on the upstairs, is just for us to hang out, watch tv, and anything else.
I looked at my cellphone on the coffee table, and then grabbed it without hesitation just to try to call her spontaneously.

But no one answer until it’s reach her mailbox, that’s even not contained with her own personal voice. She just left the mailbox with the machine from the telephone provider. And I also cant cope with mailbox too.
I sighed.
‘’oi, Taiyou (sun)!’’ I felt someone slapped my head.
‘’iteeeeeeee (originally itai = ouch)!’’ I turned around although I already know who did that. ‘’naniyatten dayooo (what are you doing)??’’ I rubbed my head.
There’s only one person who called me Taiyou. Nishikido Ryo-kun. He’s the one picked that name for me because of my light honey brown hair. Coming from a man who said that Japanese people must stay with black hair, I don’t think he called me Taiyou as a compliment at first.
But as we know each other, he said that he called me Taiyou because I was just as bright as the sun. Well, just ignored him, he does really great in words since he usually used it for his stewardess colleague. Yep, he’s a young co-pilot in JAL as Ryo-chan is often not at home because of his job.
‘’I just walked Aya-chan home.’’ he said. See? I bet this Aya-chan wont last long as Erika-chan, Haruka-chan, Mao-chan, or any other girl’s name came up.
‘’what’s with the face, huh? You’re not usually look like this..’’ he said as he walked to the refrigerator and took some juice. ‘’want some?’’ he offered me.
‘’no, thanks.’’
‘’ah.. finally. Our little Taiyou fell in love with a girl.’’ Kei-chan walked across the room as he said that. But then he disappeared to Shige’s room.
‘’EHH?!’’ beside me, Ryo-kun even squatted in the sofa. He seems really excited to hear that sentence. ‘’MAJIDE?’’ he shouted to Kei-chan.
‘’Haa~~i.’’ we can hear Kei-chan replying.
‘’mooou~ (geez)..’’ I throw myself on the sofa with a pillow in my arms.
‘’eh? Dare dare (who is it)!?’’ Ryo-chan looked like a little boy as he seems interested on my story. Yeah, I usually so shy -well, I still like that up until now- and it’s rare to find me to be this interest into one particular girl. I love to have so many friends, and many of them are cute, but Im not really into a girl who’s loud and keep talking which is usually they always like that.
Then I told Ryo about this girl, just like what I told Kei-chan.
‘’then just call her!’’
‘’I did, twice. But no one answer.’’ I said. ‘’Im afraid she’s gonna think that im too persistent if I kept calling.’’

‘’yeah, the one called Push On! that’s kept playing in the radios.’’ I said as now I heard from Shige’s room.
Then the last person who lived in this house came.
Yamashita Tomohisa.
I always want to be like him. Cool, not use too many words as he’s now working in his father’s corporation as a marketing manager. Share the same age as Ryo-chan, means 4 years older than me, Ryo-chan and Tomo-kun are bestfriends, although they have quite different personality.
But I know I will never be as cool as he is, since everyone also saying that I could turned to be someone like Ryo-chan but never gonna be like Tomo-kun. I couldn’t agree more, but hey! Im not a playboy.
‘’how’s your exam?’’ he asked me.
‘’so-so.’’ I replied shortly.
‘’you know what? Taiyou have someone he likes!’’ Ryo joins the conversation as then he’s just rambling about my story.
Tomo-kun just nodded a couple of times as then he sat down and smiled at me, ‘’what’s her name?’’
I blushed as I remembered the girl’s face. She was so cute with her short pixie hair and petite body, her smile even so cute, too.
‘’ah hai (yes), wasurechatta (I forgot)!’’ Ryo seems forget to asked my crush’s name.
Then before I realized, suddenly Kei-chan and Shige walked out from the room maybe because they heard Ryo’s loud voice. I begin to wonder, isnt a co-pilot need to be as calm as Tomo-kun? Why the only pilot I know was such a loud man like Ryo-chan?
‘’dare dare (who is it)?’’ Shige seems interested too. ah, Kei-chan already told him.
‘’ch-chotto (wait)..’’ I pulled myself back as they suddenly all of them are around me.
Then I said, ‘’Horikita.. Maki-chan.’’
I saw Ryo-chan, then Shige, Kei-chan and then the last one is Tomo-kun.
The first one who commented is Shige, ‘’Hori..kita-san from my law school?’’
As then Ryo said, ‘’did she have a big sister name Masami?’’
Eh? Eh? Chotto matte (wait a minute)!
I pointed at Shige, ‘’ah, sou sou sou (yes), she’s in the same major as you! but.. I don’t think you’re on the same year.’’
‘’Horikita Maki-chan, short hair, cute smile isnt it? she’s like the most famous junior in law!’’ Shige said.
‘’and who’s Masami? Did you know Maki-chan, too?’’ I asked Ryo.
‘’well.. Horikita Masami is my ex. I knew that she have a little sister named Maki.’’ He shrugged. ‘’but I don’t know how’s she look like.’’
Kei-chan just shook his head as he didn’t know about Maki. But then I turned to Tomo-kun, ‘’do you.. too?’’
‘’you know that my boss’ name is.. Horikita-san.’’ He said.
‘’ehh?’’ Kei-chan exclaimed, ‘’could it be.. they all knew your crush??’’
‘’shiraneyoooo (originally shiranai yo= I don’t know about that)!!’’ I shouted. ‘’mooouu~ (geez)..’’
‘’yaa~ what a small world, ne, Taiyou-kunn!!’’ Ryo said. ‘’but if she is Masami’s little sister, well, she might just as pretty as her sister.’’ And Shige nodded agree, ‘’she is.’’
Then suddenly Tomo-kun also nodded, ‘’yes. She’s really cute.’’
Eeeeh? Even Tomo-kun said that.
‘’I have so many rivals then..’’ I said as I realized there would be more guys out there who like her too.
Everyone’s laughing, ‘’well.. at least, im not.’’ Kei-chan said. well, yeah, he’s already have a girlfriend.
‘’there’s no way I date her since she’s my ex’s little sister.’’ Ryo-chan said.
‘’me? no.. I prefer older girls.’’ Shige said as everyone’s looking at her.
Then everyone turned to Tomo-kun as he didn’t say anything as the song still playing.

‘’hey.. you said that you cant reach her phone, right? but.. what if we all helped you to meet her again?’’ Kei-chan offered that idea to me and the rest slowly nodded agree.

It’s been 3 days since I agreed to being helped by my housemates.
As this evening Shige came to me and say, ‘’it’s difficult to know about her, you know.. her friends just said that Maki-chan didn’t date anyone. But end of the story.’’
‘’really?’’
Shige nodded.
‘’thanks, by the way.’’ I said as then he replied, ‘’anytime. Ah, if I hear something about her, I’ll tell you.’’
After hearing about that information, I feel like I want to call her.
Ah, but I feel hesitated as she might not gonna answered again. So I didn’t call her.
2 days later, when I was cooking for dinner at home, Ryo went home from a flight. He walked inside the house as he’s talking on the phone.
‘’ah, souka (is that so)? Yaa~ hisashiburi desune (long time no see).. yes? No.. why? Ah, nice idea! yeah, I’ll bring my friends, too. Of course.. hai hai wakarimashita (I understand). Jya ne (see you).’’
Then he closed his phone and say, ‘’tomorrow, Im going to meet her sister. Maybe she will brought her sister, too. Why don’t you coming with me?’’
‘’ehh?? No! no!’’ I refused.
‘’nandeee (why)?’’
‘’Im not.. ready yet.’’
Ryo shouted, ‘’but I promise to take my friends!’’ but then he turned and called Shige, ‘’OI! You will come to a goukon (group date) with me tomorrow!!’’
And he got a reply immediately, ‘’OKAY!’’
Ah.. I want to see her. But I still feel uneasy.
I wonder why Tomo-kun didn’t say anything at that night. And although he always calm, these days he’s so quiet.
Eh..? could it be.. he also..
Ah..iya iya (no), no way. muri dayo (it’s impossible).
Suddenly Koyama appeared and asked, ‘’so.. how’s the progress?’’
I just sighed.

Masuda Takahisa just looking at his phone. He open and close it a several times. Now he’s sitting alone in an outdoor food court. The place is kinda famous among young people, that’s why there’s so many people in it, even the weather was quite cold today. but he didn’t really feel cold as he always can endure the coldness of winter season.

As then from the loudspeaker the song is played.
‘’yaa~ this NEWS’ song is definitely gonna be a hit.’’ He said to himself.
Then he looked at his watch. ‘’where is she?’’
He decided to call her cellphone, and then someone answered, ‘’Maki-chan? ah, nee-chan, (older sister), gomen ne (im sorry). Where’s Maki? Yes, we’re promised to meet up, but she-‘’
He stopped for a while and then he said, ‘’ah, there she is! Arigatou, nee-chan (thanks, sis).. jya ne (bye).’’
As then a young lady is running to him, ‘’Taka-channn, gomen ne (im sorry), im late!’’
‘’that’s okay.’’ Masuda gets up and then he wrapped his arm on her shoulder. ‘’let’s go.’’ as Horikita Maki nodded, ‘’un (yes)!’’
They walked and chatted together among the crowds this evening.
‘’don’t you feel cold?’’ Maki asked him.
‘’no.. ah, do you?’’ he asked back.
‘’a bit.’’ She smiled, so then he gave his scarf to her. ‘’arigatou (thanks).’’
Not too far away from there,
Shige is walking down the street as he’s just wandering around with Kei-chan. They actually want to buy something. Shige wants to find some shoes, while Kei-chan wants to buy a coat.
‘’ah!’’ he said.
‘’nani (what)?’’ Kei-chan turned to see him.
‘’you see that petite girl with a yellow scarf? The one who walked with a guy who’s wearing a… what, baggy grey jeans?’’
‘’ah, that wear a green cardigans?’’
‘’yes.. but don’t look at the guy, look at the girl!!’’
‘’I know! who is she?’’
‘’she.. is Tesshi’s crush! Maki-chan!’’
Kei-chan’s bulging his eyes to looked closely, ‘’eeehh? Kawaaiiii (cute)..’’
‘’that’s what we always said, right?’’ Shige rolled his eyes because of Kei-chan silly words. ‘’eh, but who’s that guy?’’
‘’could it be.. her boyfriend?’’ Kei said.
‘’no.. from what I heard, she didn’t have any.’’ Shige said as they keep walking and follow her. ‘’beside, how can that guy with funny clothes turned out to be her girlfriend?’’
Masuda’s clothes actually wasn’t that bad, it’s rather cute in some way, but it’s not Shige’s style, so he mocked him. Masuda’s wearing a baggy grey pants and green cardigan, just to make it even cute, he does wear a red bowtie.
‘’hey.. whatever it is, we cant say anything to Tegoshi, because we havent sure about it yet.’’ Kei-chan said.
‘’yep, you’re right.’’’

‘’oi! Taiyou!’’ I went home from the konbini by myself when I heard someone called me.
I turned around and saw Ryo walked towards me. He looked more kakkoi (handsome/cool) than usual in his casual outfit and leather jacket.
‘’how’s the goukon (group dating)?’’ I asked.
‘’yeah, I ended up just to be with Masami because Shige suddenly doesn’t want to go, and then Masami’s friend also cancelled. don’t you want to hear about Maki-chan?’’
I sighed. ‘’I don’t know..’’
‘’eh?? Nande (why)? Looking so gloomy is not like you, taiyou!’’ he patted my shoulder.
‘’I.. look, Ryo-kun, I want to tell you this, but promised me that you’re not gonna ask Tomo-kun. I know you’re close, but please.. don’t say anything to him.’’
‘’what is it?’’
‘’I think.. he also likes Maki-chan.’’
‘’EEEH?’’
‘’ssshh!’’ I said to him.
‘’iya iya (no).. muri dayo (it’s impossible)!’’
‘’at first, I thought so, too. But then.. last night I saw him talking on the phone.. it looks so secretive. And.. he kept saying Maki-chan’s name.’’
Ryo seems to think for a while, as then he said, ‘’ah! I almost forgot! I want to tell you something.’’
‘’nani (what is it)?’’
‘’now I know why Maki never answer your phone.’’ He lit his cigarette, and say, ‘’it’s seems that because her sister borrowed her phone. Masami’s phone was broken, and because she’s so busy, she borrowed Maki’s instead of buying a new one.’’
‘’naruhodo (I see)..’’ I nodded.
‘’maybe her sister just decided not to answer any calls.’’
‘’maybe.’’ I still be thinking about Tomo-kun.
As Ryo-chan realized, ‘’ah, you’re still be worrying about Pi, huh?’’
I nodded. Well, he’s like someone really perfect, so to have Tomo-kun as a rival. Yaaa~ there’s no possibility for me to win.
‘’didn’t I tell you, it’s impossible?’’ Ryo-chan slapped my back. ‘’cheer up, Taiyou-kun! That’s how you should always be!’’
I just smile a bit.
Later at that night, I forgot to asked Ryo whether Maki held the phone right now or not, but I just thought that I will give it a try to call her again.
Although the result is still the same. No answer. So maybe.. someone else still handle the phone, or.. Maki-chan didn’t want to answer a call from this annoying unknown number.

‘’OI! Kochi kochi (come here)!’’ Koyama whispered as they came to the airport to pick Ryo up.
‘’eh? Naniyatte dayo (what are you doing)!?’’ Ryo startled.
‘’well, since we dont have anything to do today, we want to follow Maki-chan around, just to know what’s really happening.’’ Shige explained.
Ryo even looked more startled. ‘’like a stalker??? Kimoi (originally kimochi warui = disgusting).’’
‘’no.. it’s not like that! we’re just kinda suspicious because I heard that she didn’t have a boyfriend, but 2 days ago, we saw her with a guy, and they seems really close.’’
‘’maybe he’s her brother.’’ Ryo still seems disgusted with the idea.
‘’you’re the one who knew her sister, and did she have a brother? Chubby, with a brown hair, weird style of clothes?’’ Shige asked.
‘’ah you’re right, she didn’t have any brother. But maybe it’s her cousin?’’ Ryo said.
‘’whatever. We’re just want to help Tesshi because he seems so down these days. Im not reallu used to see him like that.’’ Kei-chan said. ‘’ah, and what about the goukon (group date)?’’
Ryo told them what he knows.
‘’so you havent seen Maki?’’
‘’nope.’’
‘’yaaa~ as I saw her, I know why Tegoshi seems really like her.’’ Kei-chan said.
‘’is she really that cute?’’ Ryo asked as both Shige and Kei-chan nodded. Then Ryo added, ‘’ah, and now Tegoshi worried about maybe Pi also like the girl.’’
‘’eeeeeh??’’
So then they’re started their plan as Ryo somehow agree to do that.
20 minutes later, the three of them were hiding behind a commercial board that stands on the street. Shige is squatted, Kei-chan is bent down behind him, while Ryo-chan is just bent a bit.
‘’oi, this is sooo embarrassing!’’ Ryo whispered.
‘’ssssh!’’
‘’imagine what if one of the stewardess found me like this!’’
‘’ssssh!’’
‘’kusoo (dammit)!’’ Ryo still whispered although he actually want to scream. But of course, they cant. Since now Maki-chan is sitting not too far from them with Masuda Takahisa.
‘’we have to move closer so we can hear what they’re talking about.’’ Kei-chan as usual, came with an idea.
‘’but how?’’ Shige asked. ‘’she’s recognized my face.’’ As then he looked to both of his housemate.
Then Kei-chan and Ryo both got his idea and say, ‘’NOOOOOO..’’
‘’YESSSSS!’’ Shige snapped. ‘’both of you just ordered something and then sat behind her table.’’
‘’just the two of us? KIMOI (disgusting)!’’ once again Ryo used that words.
‘’hey! I used to walked around with Shige, and that’s normal.’’ Kei-chan actually defenced himself, although he also feel a bit awkward to sit down at the café and even didn’t know what to do.
‘’yeah, but not for me! my reputationnn.. oh noo!’’ Ryo exclaimed.
But somehow, then both of that guys actually followed Shige’s idea though Ryo hissed, ‘’Taiyouuuu, you have to pay me for this!!’’

‘’really? Well, yeah.. it has a catchy tunes.’’
‘’and the guys are really cute too!’’ she meant the NEWS group.
Masuda just laughs.
‘’so..’’ he said. ‘’you seems serious about what you said earlier.’’
‘’about that guy?’’ she smiled sheepishly.
From the back table, Ryo said to Kei-chan, ‘’damn Taiyou, the girl is so cute.’’
As then Maki said, ‘’that’s why I really want to call him! but I cant!’’
Masuda smiled again, ‘’you know, I knew you for a very long time, but I never saw you like this.. to get smitten over a guy. Don’t worry, you’re gonna meet him soon.’’
Still from the back table, ‘’eh? So this guy isnt her boyfriend???’’ Kei-chan said to Ryo.
‘’so who is it, then?’’ Ryo also asked him.
Then suddenly Kei’s phone vibrated. ‘’it’s Shige.’’
‘’what is it?’’ Ryo said.
When Kei answered the phone, he looked up to where Shige’s been hiding. He seems to pointed at one direction.
‘’what?’’ Kei-chan asked him.
‘’look! And just get the hell out of there! Now!’’
Then Kei-chan looked to where Shige’s pointing, and Ryo did too. He said, ‘’Yabai (it’s not good)! It’s Yamapi!!’’
In a rush, both of the guys walked out from there even Kei-chan crashed into a table for a bit.
After they’re back to their hiding place, they watched over and saw Tomo-kun walked towards Maki’s table.
‘’what did she talk about?’’ Shige said as then Ryo told him.
‘’eeeh? Could it be…?’’ Shige then said.
‘’the one that Maki likes is.. YAMAPI?!’’ The three of them said in unison. But 2 second after that they laugh, ‘’iya iya.. muri dayooo (no no, it’s impossible).’’
Although then Shige said, ‘’wait. Why is that we said impossible? Tomo-kun said that the girl is cute. And.. I think the girl also find him cool, right?’’
‘’baka (stupid)!’’ Ryo said, ‘’it’s not that simple! I know what type that Pi likes in a woman. And im not saying that Maki-chan is not good enough, but.. I don’t think Pi is into a 20 year old girl.’’
‘’what’s wrong with that?’’ Shige said, ‘’Tomo-kun is also only 24, right?’’
As suddenly Keichan said, ‘’ssh! Look, that guy was leaving! So now it’s only Maki-chan and Yamapi who sat there!’’
Shige and Ryo also watching. But not long after that, Maki gets up and saying something to Tomo-kun as he also stand up.
Then the 3 of them exclaimed, ‘’EEHHHH?’’ as they saw Maki hugged Tomo before she left.
‘’eh? Where did she go?’’ Kei-chan asked.
‘’by the way.. now are we gonna do?’’ Ryo asked. ‘’follow the girl, or we’re gonna meet Pi?’’
They decided to do the second one.
‘’yo Pi.’’ Ryo patted his shoulder.
Pi turned around and say, ‘’hey! What are you doing here, eh, Kei-chan? Shige?’’
‘’we.. um.. saw you with Maki-chan.’’ Kei-chan said.
‘’ah.’’ Tomo seems uneasy, ‘’yeah..’’
But as usual, Shige talked straightforwardly, ‘’are you dating her?’’
‘’ha?’’
As suddenly someone came from behind,
‘’Tomo-kun..’’ the lady seems a bit confused when she saw 3 guys standing around Pi like that.
As then she saw someone she know, who might knew her, too.
‘’Juri-chan??!’’
‘’Ryo-kun?!’’
Then Pi sighed.
‘’that’s why I didn’t want you to know, Ryo.’’ he said.
Ueno Juri, the lady with bob haircut and cute smile, wearing a nice suits and skirt, standing in front of Ryo-chan right now. She’s Masami’s bestfriend, so he knew her and she knew Ryo as well.
‘’what- are you two.. eeeeh?’’ Ryo shouted.
Juri-chan just smile sheepishly.
‘’but.. Maki-chan?’’ Shige still clueless.
Then Tomo-kun and Juri staring at each other and laughs before they explained what happened.
‘’everything’s just misunderstanding.’’ He started.
So this is the story. It started when Juri held Maki’s phone that Masami’s borrowed. Suddenly there’s a call from an unknown number, so Juri didn’t answer it. And not long after that, Maki told Tomo that she have a crush on someone, but he thought it was Taka-chan, or Massu, Maki’s childhood friend. So that’s why, he didn’t know what to say when he heard Tegoshi likes her too.
But as once again there’s a call from that unknown number when the phone is in Juri’s hand. Masami and Yamapi also there, too. And Tomo recognized the number as Tegoshi’s. Maki came to get back her phone and then he just asked casually about it.
Maki then said to herself, ‘’is it.. possible that he’s the guy I met last week? Im so stupid as I was too shy to asked his phone number when he asked mine.’’
To heard that, Tomo said it straightforwardly, ‘’a guy name Tegoshi, the one that you met in a goukon?’’

I just rolled up in the carpet on the living room as I play with Nyanta, Kei-chan’s cat.

It’s weird.
Last night when I still watching tv in the living room upstairs, suddenly all of my housemate came into the house together.
And then Ryo-chan gave me something, ‘’there. I bought that for you.’’
‘’what is it?’’
‘’a gift from Singapore.’’ He shouted as he went to his room.
A pink scarf?!?? WHAT TH-
I just want to walk to Ryo-chan’s room as then Tomo-kun said, ‘’hey.. what are you gonna do tomorrow?’’
‘’um.. nothing.’’ somehow it’s uneasy for me to talked to him right now.
‘’great. Why don’t you go with me in a double date?’’
Wait. Tomo-kun. Double date.
‘’eeehh?’’ I shouted. ‘’you have a-a girlfriend?’’
‘’yes. And.. she’s so cute, too.’’ he smiled as he still so cool.
I don’t know what to say. Is it.. Maki? But how could he possibly saying like that to me..
‘’ah, and I also gonna introduce you to someone, because it’s double date, it means you have to go with someone too, right? that makes the 4 of us.’’
‘’ch-chotto (wait)!’’
To make it even worst, Kei-chan said to me, ‘’hey, do you have that Push-on song?’’
‘’yes-‘’
He cut my sentence, ‘’great! I want it. By the way, it reminds me of you, that song.’’
Argh.
And as if they’re not torturing me enough, Shige lifted the pink scarf and say, ‘’oi, why don’t you wear this for tomorrow?’’
Ryo walked out as he said, ‘’yeah.. it’s a nice idea, Shige.’’ And he turned to me, ‘’wear it! or I will be angry.’’

So then the next day I went out with Tomo-kun.
Actually I was so embarrassed with this pink scarf, not to mention Tomo-kun is so cool with his black leather jacket and purple shirt.
As then he smiled when he saw someone, ‘’Juri-chan!!’’
Eh? Who is this girl? She seems got the same age as Tomo-kun, looking really pretty with her dolly-look bob haircut. Even the long knit-sweater and black stocking made her more similar to a doll.
‘’please meet my partner, Ueno Juri. Juri-chan, this is Tegoshi Yuya, my housemate. He’s younger than me, just like my brother.’’ Tomo-kun politely introduced us.
‘’partner?’’ I said it. ‘’ah, gomen (sorry).’’
‘’yes, as in, girlfriend.’’ Tomo-kun frowned as he looked at me.
‘’yoroshiku ne (nice to meet you), I heard so much about you.’’ Ueno-san smiled as then she looked at my scarf. ‘’you look as cute as I imagine.’’
Eh? How did she know about me? and cute? Ahhh~ Im so tired to heard that words. I don’t want to be praise as a cute guy. It makes me look like a girl. And that’s why it’s not really easy for me hanging out with them, because they keep calling me kawaii kawaii (cute)..
‘’ah! I almost forget. Your partner for this blind date is Juri’s little sister, she came by herself, and.. can you pick her up at the entrance?’’ Tomo-kun asked me.
At first, I want to say, why me? but then I just nodded.
‘’Tegoshi-kun! Outside is raining, take this.’’ Ueno-san ran to me as she gave an umbrella. ‘’and my sister actually using the same umbrella as mine.’’
I looked at the red umbrella. Great, now I have to find a girl with a red umbrella.
I walked out and opened my umbrella as I walked at the huge open meeting point.

Where are you?
Then I saw someone with a red umbrella. But I cant see the person because all I can see is only her umbrella.
Suddenly, my phone is ringing.

‘’gomen ne (sorry). I changed your ringtone without saying anything. But I guess it’s for good luck because she actually loves that song.’’ Kei-chan said from the other side.
‘’she? Who?’’
‘’the one that you will meet. The red umbrella girl.’’
‘’ehhh?’’ I exclaimed as I started to look around, ‘’how do you know?’’
‘’just meet her first.’’ He said as I now stand behind the umbrella girl.
‘’ano..’’ I said to her and then she turned around.
Usooooooooo (it’s a lie)!!
‘’Ho-Horikita Maki-chan?’’ I said.
‘’yes, she loves the song that actually irritates you,’’ Kei-chan laughs.
Maki smiled in front of me as I still dumbfoundly talking in the phone with Kei-chan, ‘’no.. I mean.. the red umbrella girl is Maki-chan.’’
Once again he laughs, ‘’WE KNOWWWW!’’ as then he said, ‘’looked behind you!’’
I turned around and saw Tomo-kun with Ueno-san standing there, also with Ryo-chan, Shige, Kei-chan and one guy that I didn’t know.
As Im blushing really hard, I heard Maki said to me, ‘’ne.. what a small world, isnt it?’’
I turned around and saw her blushing too.
Then I heard the guy shouted, ‘’Maki-channn! Look, he even wore your pink scarf!!’’
Eeehh? This pink scarf is belongs to her?
‘’shut up, Taka-chann!’’ she shouted and say to me, ‘’please forgive my friend.’’ And then she said to me as she carefully took the scarf from my neck,
‘’and im sorry, I don’t want to be rude, but I think this scarf is too cute for you. It doesn’t suits you..’’
After saying that she even looked down because she’s shy.
Wait. Does that means she didn’t think im cute?
‘’Oi Taiyouuu! You’re just graduated from cute to being cool!’’ Ryo-chan teased me.
Whatever.
As I took the scarf and round it around her neck, I said, ‘’it suits you more.’’
And now I know.. that she might be the right one then.

My dream has stopped as I jumped off the bed. Then I looked at the clock and shocked, ‘’YABAI YABAII (dammit)!’’
Today’s the first day of my final exam, and now im late!! I just brushed my teeth and washed my face with the cold water .When I walked out from the room, as I put my sweater on,
‘’late again, huh?’’ one of my housemate, Kato Shigeaki walked down at the stairs.
‘’why DON’T you WAKE ME UP, SHIGE?!’’ I put my shoes on in a speed of light.
And as Shige said, ‘’I did.. but-‘’ I opened my door and ran although I still can hear him saying,
‘’but you didn’t even move an inch, although I knocked at your door like crazy!!’’
Hi! Im Tegoshi Yuya, im a 3rd year college student. You can call me Tegoshi, Tego, Tesshi, or Yuya, just choose!
I lived here in Tokyo together in a house with another 4 guys. 1 of them are student like me, and 3 others are workers.
One that I met on the house is Shige. He’s a law student. With a weird sense of a humor, actually he does have a good brain. And he also like photography, too.
I will introduce you to the 3 others later. Now I got to run as my final EXAM WILL BE START IN 10 MINUTES!!

‘’mooouu~ (geez)..’’ I squatted outside the konbini (convenient store) as I opened my cellphone and looking at it. No calls. No emails. Sighed.
Then someone patted my shoulder. ‘’how’s the exam?’’
I turned around and I saw my other housemate. It’s Kei-chan. Ah, I mean Koyama-kun. He’s 5 years older than me so it’s inappropriate to call him that.
‘’you looked really miserable.’’ He said as he seems worried although he’s laughing at me.
‘’I aaaamm.’’ I messed my hair up as my glasses almost fell down.
‘’doushite (why is that)?’’
Koyama Keiichiro is like our mother in the house. He’s the oldest among us, and he’s working in a kindergarten with his girlfriend. See how motherly is that?
And I never hesitated to tell him my story. So here it is.

‘’two days ago, when I went to goukon (group date party), there’s a girl that caught my attention..’’

He laughs, ‘’because you’re cute, and that would be weird if you’re cuter than her.’’
I snorted as he mocked me.
‘’gomen gomen (sorry)..’’ then he said, ‘’so what’s with this girl?’’
‘’I don’t know, maybe her calm smile attracted me.’’ I smiled sheepishly.
‘’and? Did you get her number?’’
Ah, as I told you before, Koyama is the mother of the house, and he even talked well also straightly like my mother.
‘’yes, actually I did.. but..’’ I looked down at the cellphone. ‘’I don’t have the courage to call her first.’’
Then Kei-chan looked at me and patted my back quite hard, ‘’ma ma (oh well).. don’t worry, you will, tomorrow.’’ As he added with a smile, ‘’hey, why don’t we walked home now, it seems the rain gonna fall down again.’’

Later at night, I sat down by myself at the sofa in the living room upstairs. In this house, there’s 2 living room. The one at downstairs is for guest, and one on the upstairs, is just for us to hang out, watch tv, and anything else.
I looked at my cellphone on the coffee table, and then grabbed it without hesitation just to try to call her spontaneously.

But no one answer until it’s reach her mailbox, that’s even not contained with her own personal voice. She just left the mailbox with the machine from the telephone provider. And I also cant cope with mailbox too.
I sighed.
‘’oi, Taiyou (sun)!’’ I felt someone slapped my head.
‘’iteeeeeeee (originally itai = ouch)!’’ I turned around although I already know who did that. ‘’naniyatten dayooo (what are you doing)??’’ I rubbed my head.
There’s only one person who called me Taiyou. Nishikido Ryo-kun. He’s the one picked that name for me because of my light honey brown hair. Coming from a man who said that Japanese people must stay with black hair, I don’t think he called me Taiyou as a compliment at first.
But as we know each other, he said that he called me Taiyou because I was just as bright as the sun. Well, just ignored him, he does really great in words since he usually used it for his stewardess colleague. Yep, he’s a young co-pilot in JAL as Ryo-chan is often not at home because of his job.
‘’I just walked Aya-chan home.’’ he said. See? I bet this Aya-chan wont last long as Erika-chan, Haruka-chan, Mao-chan, or any other girl’s name came up.
‘’what’s with the face, huh? You’re not usually look like this..’’ he said as he walked to the refrigerator and took some juice. ‘’want some?’’ he offered me.
‘’no, thanks.’’
‘’ah.. finally. Our little Taiyou fell in love with a girl.’’ Kei-chan walked across the room as he said that. But then he disappeared to Shige’s room.
‘’EHH?!’’ beside me, Ryo-kun even squatted in the sofa. He seems really excited to hear that sentence. ‘’MAJIDE?’’ he shouted to Kei-chan.
‘’Haa~~i.’’ we can hear Kei-chan replying.
‘’mooou~ (geez)..’’ I throw myself on the sofa with a pillow in my arms.
‘’eh? Dare dare (who is it)!?’’ Ryo-chan looked like a little boy as he seems interested on my story. Yeah, I usually so shy -well, I still like that up until now- and it’s rare to find me to be this interest into one particular girl. I love to have so many friends, and many of them are cute, but Im not really into a girl who’s loud and keep talking which is usually they always like that.
Then I told Ryo about this girl, just like what I told Kei-chan.
‘’then just call her!’’
‘’I did, twice. But no one answer.’’ I said. ‘’Im afraid she’s gonna think that im too persistent if I kept calling.’’

Then the last person who lived in this house came.
Yamashita Tomohisa.
I always want to be like him. Cool, not use too many words as he’s now working in his father’s corporation as a marketing manager. Share the same age as Ryo-chan, means 4 years older than me, Ryo-chan and Tomo-kun are bestfriends, although they have quite different personality.
But I know I will never be as cool as he is, since everyone also saying that I could turned to be someone like Ryo-chan but never gonna be like Tomo-kun. I couldn’t agree more, but hey! Im not a playboy.
‘’how’s your exam?’’ he asked me.
‘’so-so.’’ I replied shortly.
‘’you know what? Taiyou have someone he likes!’’ Ryo joins the conversation as then he’s just rambling about my story.
Tomo-kun just nodded a couple of times as then he sat down and smiled at me, ‘’what’s her name?’’
I blushed as I remembered the girl’s face. She was so cute with her short pixie hair and petite body, her smile even so cute, too.
‘’ah hai (yes), wasurechatta (I forgot)!’’ Ryo seems forget to asked my crush’s name.
Then before I realized, suddenly Kei-chan and Shige walked out from the room maybe because they heard Ryo’s loud voice. I begin to wonder, isnt a co-pilot need to be as calm as Tomo-kun? Why the only pilot I know was such a loud man like Ryo-chan?
‘’dare dare (who is it)?’’ Shige seems interested too. ah, Kei-chan already told him.
‘’ch-chotto (wait)..’’ I pulled myself back as they suddenly all of them are around me.
Then I said, ‘’Horikita.. Maki-chan.’’
I saw Ryo-chan, then Shige, Kei-chan and then the last one is Tomo-kun.
The first one who commented is Shige, ‘’Hori..kita-san from my law school?’’
As then Ryo said, ‘’did she have a big sister name Masami?’’
Eh? Eh? Chotto matte (wait a minute)!
I pointed at Shige, ‘’ah, sou sou sou (yes), she’s in the same major as you! but.. I don’t think you’re on the same year.’’
‘’Horikita Maki-chan, short hair, cute smile isnt it? she’s like the most famous junior in law!’’ Shige said.
‘’and who’s Masami? Did you know Maki-chan, too?’’ I asked Ryo.
‘’well.. Horikita Masami is my ex. I knew that she have a little sister named Maki.’’ He shrugged. ‘’but I don’t know how’s she look like.’’
Kei-chan just shook his head as he didn’t know about Maki. But then I turned to Tomo-kun, ‘’do you.. too?’’
‘’you know that my boss’ name is.. Horikita-san.’’ He said.
‘’ehh?’’ Kei-chan exclaimed, ‘’could it be.. they all knew your crush??’’
‘’shiraneyoooo (originally shiranai yo= I don’t know about that)!!’’ I shouted. ‘’mooouu~ (geez)..’’
‘’yaa~ what a small world, ne, Taiyou-kunn!!’’ Ryo said. ‘’but if she is Masami’s little sister, well, she might just as pretty as her sister.’’ And Shige nodded agree, ‘’she is.’’
Then suddenly Tomo-kun also nodded, ‘’yes. She’s really cute.’’
Eeeeh? Even Tomo-kun said that.
‘’I have so many rivals then..’’ I said as I realized there would be more guys out there who like her too.
Everyone’s laughing, ‘’well.. at least, im not.’’ Kei-chan said. well, yeah, he’s already have a girlfriend.
‘’there’s no way I date her since she’s my ex’s little sister.’’ Ryo-chan said.
‘’me? no.. I prefer older girls.’’ Shige said as everyone’s looking at her.
Then everyone turned to Tomo-kun as he didn’t say anything as the song still playing.

It’s been 3 days since I agreed to being helped by my housemates.
As this evening Shige came to me and say, ‘’it’s difficult to know about her, you know.. her friends just said that Maki-chan didn’t date anyone. But end of the story.’’
‘’really?’’
Shige nodded.
‘’thanks, by the way.’’ I said as then he replied, ‘’anytime. Ah, if I hear something about her, I’ll tell you.’’
After hearing about that information, I feel like I want to call her.
Ah, but I feel hesitated as she might not gonna answered again. So I didn’t call her.
2 days later, when I was cooking for dinner at home, Ryo went home from a flight. He walked inside the house as he’s talking on the phone.
‘’ah, souka (is that so)? Yaa~ hisashiburi desune (long time no see).. yes? No.. why? Ah, nice idea! yeah, I’ll bring my friends, too. Of course.. hai hai wakarimashita (I understand). Jya ne (see you).’’
Then he closed his phone and say, ‘’tomorrow, Im going to meet her sister. Maybe she will brought her sister, too. Why don’t you coming with me?’’
‘’ehh?? No! no!’’ I refused.
‘’nandeee (why)?’’
‘’Im not.. ready yet.’’
Ryo shouted, ‘’but I promise to take my friends!’’ but then he turned and called Shige, ‘’OI! You will come to a goukon (group date) with me tomorrow!!’’
And he got a reply immediately, ‘’OKAY!’’
Ah.. I want to see her. But I still feel uneasy.
I wonder why Tomo-kun didn’t say anything at that night. And although he always calm, these days he’s so quiet.
Eh..? could it be.. he also..
Ah..iya iya (no), no way. muri dayo (it’s impossible).
Suddenly Koyama appeared and asked, ‘’so.. how’s the progress?’’
I just sighed.

Masuda Takahisa just looking at his phone. He open and close it a several times. Now he’s sitting alone in an outdoor food court. The place is kinda famous among young people, that’s why there’s so many people in it, even the weather was quite cold today. but he didn’t really feel cold as he always can endure the coldness of winter season.

As then from the loudspeaker the song is played.
‘’yaa~ this NEWS’ song is definitely gonna be a hit.’’ He said to himself.
Then he looked at his watch. ‘’where is she?’’
He decided to call her cellphone, and then someone answered, ‘’Maki-chan? ah, nee-chan, (older sister), gomen ne (im sorry). Where’s Maki? Yes, we’re promised to meet up, but she-‘’
He stopped for a while and then he said, ‘’ah, there she is! Arigatou, nee-chan (thanks, sis).. jya ne (bye).’’
As then a young lady is running to him, ‘’Taka-channn, gomen ne (im sorry), im late!’’
‘’that’s okay.’’ Masuda gets up and then he wrapped his arm on her shoulder. ‘’let’s go.’’ as Horikita Maki nodded, ‘’un (yes)!’’
They walked and chatted together among the crowds this evening.
‘’don’t you feel cold?’’ Maki asked him.
‘’no.. ah, do you?’’ he asked back.
‘’a bit.’’ She smiled, so then he gave his scarf to her. ‘’arigatou (thanks).’’
Not too far away from there,
Shige is walking down the street as he’s just wandering around with Kei-chan. They actually want to buy something. Shige wants to find some shoes, while Kei-chan wants to buy a coat.
‘’ah!’’ he said.
‘’nani (what)?’’ Kei-chan turned to see him.
‘’you see that petite girl with a yellow scarf? The one who walked with a guy who’s wearing a… what, baggy grey jeans?’’
‘’ah, that wear a green cardigans?’’
‘’yes.. but don’t look at the guy, look at the girl!!’’
‘’I know! who is she?’’
‘’she.. is Tesshi’s crush! Maki-chan!’’
Kei-chan’s bulging his eyes to looked closely, ‘’eeehh? Kawaaiiii (cute)..’’
‘’that’s what we always said, right?’’ Shige rolled his eyes because of Kei-chan silly words. ‘’eh, but who’s that guy?’’
‘’could it be.. her boyfriend?’’ Kei said.
‘’no.. from what I heard, she didn’t have any.’’ Shige said as they keep walking and follow her. ‘’beside, how can that guy with funny clothes turned out to be her girlfriend?’’
Masuda’s clothes actually wasn’t that bad, it’s rather cute in some way, but it’s not Shige’s style, so he mocked him. Masuda’s wearing a baggy grey pants and green cardigan, just to make it even cute, he does wear a red bowtie.
‘’hey.. whatever it is, we cant say anything to Tegoshi, because we havent sure about it yet.’’ Kei-chan said.
‘’yep, you’re right.’’’

‘’oi! Taiyou!’’ I went home from the konbini by myself when I heard someone called me.
I turned around and saw Ryo walked towards me. He looked more kakkoi (handsome/cool) than usual in his casual outfit and leather jacket.
‘’how’s the goukon (group dating)?’’ I asked.
‘’yeah, I ended up just to be with Masami because Shige suddenly doesn’t want to go, and then Masami’s friend also cancelled. don’t you want to hear about Maki-chan?’’
I sighed. ‘’I don’t know..’’
‘’eh?? Nande (why)? Looking so gloomy is not like you, taiyou!’’ he patted my shoulder.
‘’I.. look, Ryo-kun, I want to tell you this, but promised me that you’re not gonna ask Tomo-kun. I know you’re close, but please.. don’t say anything to him.’’
‘’what is it?’’
‘’I think.. he also likes Maki-chan.’’
‘’EEEH?’’
‘’ssshh!’’ I said to him.
‘’iya iya (no).. muri dayo (it’s impossible)!’’
‘’at first, I thought so, too. But then.. last night I saw him talking on the phone.. it looks so secretive. And.. he kept saying Maki-chan’s name.’’
Ryo seems to think for a while, as then he said, ‘’ah! I almost forgot! I want to tell you something.’’
‘’nani (what is it)?’’
‘’now I know why Maki never answer your phone.’’ He lit his cigarette, and say, ‘’it’s seems that because her sister borrowed her phone. Masami’s phone was broken, and because she’s so busy, she borrowed Maki’s instead of buying a new one.’’
‘’naruhodo (I see)..’’ I nodded.
‘’maybe her sister just decided not to answer any calls.’’
‘’maybe.’’ I still be thinking about Tomo-kun.
As Ryo-chan realized, ‘’ah, you’re still be worrying about Pi, huh?’’
I nodded. Well, he’s like someone really perfect, so to have Tomo-kun as a rival. Yaaa~ there’s no possibility for me to win.
‘’didn’t I tell you, it’s impossible?’’ Ryo-chan slapped my back. ‘’cheer up, Taiyou-kun! That’s how you should always be!’’
I just smile a bit.
Later at that night, I forgot to asked Ryo whether Maki held the phone right now or not, but I just thought that I will give it a try to call her again.
Although the result is still the same. No answer. So maybe.. someone else still handle the phone, or.. Maki-chan didn’t want to answer a call from this annoying unknown number.

‘’OI! Kochi kochi (come here)!’’ Koyama whispered as they came to the airport to pick Ryo up.
‘’eh? Naniyatte dayo (what are you doing)!?’’ Ryo startled.
‘’well, since we dont have anything to do today, we want to follow Maki-chan around, just to know what’s really happening.’’ Shige explained.
Ryo even looked more startled. ‘’like a stalker??? Kimoi (originally kimochi warui = disgusting).’’
‘’no.. it’s not like that! we’re just kinda suspicious because I heard that she didn’t have a boyfriend, but 2 days ago, we saw her with a guy, and they seems really close.’’
‘’maybe he’s her brother.’’ Ryo still seems disgusted with the idea.
‘’you’re the one who knew her sister, and did she have a brother? Chubby, with a brown hair, weird style of clothes?’’ Shige asked.
‘’ah you’re right, she didn’t have any brother. But maybe it’s her cousin?’’ Ryo said.
‘’whatever. We’re just want to help Tesshi because he seems so down these days. Im not reallu used to see him like that.’’ Kei-chan said. ‘’ah, and what about the goukon (group date)?’’
Ryo told them what he knows.
‘’so you havent seen Maki?’’
‘’nope.’’
‘’yaaa~ as I saw her, I know why Tegoshi seems really like her.’’ Kei-chan said.
‘’is she really that cute?’’ Ryo asked as both Shige and Kei-chan nodded. Then Ryo added, ‘’ah, and now Tegoshi worried about maybe Pi also like the girl.’’
‘’eeeeeh??’’
So then they’re started their plan as Ryo somehow agree to do that.
20 minutes later, the three of them were hiding behind a commercial board that stands on the street. Shige is squatted, Kei-chan is bent down behind him, while Ryo-chan is just bent a bit.
‘’oi, this is sooo embarrassing!’’ Ryo whispered.
‘’ssssh!’’
‘’imagine what if one of the stewardess found me like this!’’
‘’ssssh!’’
‘’kusoo (dammit)!’’ Ryo still whispered although he actually want to scream. But of course, they cant. Since now Maki-chan is sitting not too far from them with Masuda Takahisa.
‘’we have to move closer so we can hear what they’re talking about.’’ Kei-chan as usual, came with an idea.
‘’but how?’’ Shige asked. ‘’she’s recognized my face.’’ As then he looked to both of his housemate.
Then Kei-chan and Ryo both got his idea and say, ‘’NOOOOOO..’’
‘’YESSSSS!’’ Shige snapped. ‘’both of you just ordered something and then sat behind her table.’’
‘’just the two of us? KIMOI (disgusting)!’’ once again Ryo used that words.
‘’hey! I used to walked around with Shige, and that’s normal.’’ Kei-chan actually defenced himself, although he also feel a bit awkward to sit down at the café and even didn’t know what to do.
‘’yeah, but not for me! my reputationnn.. oh noo!’’ Ryo exclaimed.
But somehow, then both of that guys actually followed Shige’s idea though Ryo hissed, ‘’Taiyouuuu, you have to pay me for this!!’’

Maki said to the guy who sat in front of her, ‘’ne, Taka-chan, do you know this song? I really like it so much!’’
‘’really? Well, yeah.. it has a catchy tunes.’’
‘’and the guys are really cute too!’’ she meant the NEWS group.
Masuda just laughs.
‘’so..’’ he said. ‘’you seems serious about what you said earlier.’’
‘’about that guy?’’ she smiled sheepishly.
From the back table, Ryo said to Kei-chan, ‘’damn Taiyou, the girl is so cute.’’
As then Maki said, ‘’that’s why I really want to call him! but I cant!’’
Masuda smiled again, ‘’you know, I knew you for a very long time, but I never saw you like this.. to get smitten over a guy. Don’t worry, you’re gonna meet him soon.’’
Still from the back table, ‘’eh? So this guy isnt her boyfriend???’’ Kei-chan said to Ryo.
‘’so who is it, then?’’ Ryo also asked him.
Then suddenly Kei’s phone vibrated. ‘’it’s Shige.’’
‘’what is it?’’ Ryo said.
When Kei answered the phone, he looked up to where Shige’s been hiding. He seems to pointed at one direction.
‘’what?’’ Kei-chan asked him.
‘’look! And just get the hell out of there! Now!’’
Then Kei-chan looked to where Shige’s pointing, and Ryo did too. He said, ‘’Yabai (it’s not good)! It’s Yamapi!!’’
In a rush, both of the guys walked out from there even Kei-chan crashed into a table for a bit.
After they’re back to their hiding place, they watched over and saw Tomo-kun walked towards Maki’s table.
‘’what did she talk about?’’ Shige said as then Ryo told him.
‘’eeeh? Could it be…?’’ Shige then said.
‘’the one that Maki likes is.. YAMAPI?!’’ The three of them said in unison. But 2 second after that they laugh, ‘’iya iya.. muri dayooo (no no, it’s impossible).’’
Although then Shige said, ‘’wait. Why is that we said impossible? Tomo-kun said that the girl is cute. And.. I think the girl also find him cool, right?’’
‘’baka (stupid)!’’ Ryo said, ‘’it’s not that simple! I know what type that Pi likes in a woman. And im not saying that Maki-chan is not good enough, but.. I don’t think Pi is into a 20 year old girl.’’
‘’what’s wrong with that?’’ Shige said, ‘’Tomo-kun is also only 24, right?’’
As suddenly Keichan said, ‘’ssh! Look, that guy was leaving! So now it’s only Maki-chan and Yamapi who sat there!’’
Shige and Ryo also watching. But not long after that, Maki gets up and saying something to Tomo-kun as he also stand up.
Then the 3 of them exclaimed, ‘’EEHHHH?’’ as they saw Maki hugged Tomo before she left.
‘’eh? Where did she go?’’ Kei-chan asked.
‘’by the way.. now are we gonna do?’’ Ryo asked. ‘’follow the girl, or we’re gonna meet Pi?’’
They decided to do the second one.
‘’yo Pi.’’ Ryo patted his shoulder.
Pi turned around and say, ‘’hey! What are you doing here, eh, Kei-chan? Shige?’’
‘’we.. um.. saw you with Maki-chan.’’ Kei-chan said.
‘’ah.’’ Tomo seems uneasy, ‘’yeah..’’
But as usual, Shige talked straightforwardly, ‘’are you dating her?’’
‘’ha?’’
As suddenly someone came from behind,
‘’Tomo-kun..’’ the lady seems a bit confused when she saw 3 guys standing around Pi like that.
As then she saw someone she know, who might knew her, too.
‘’Juri-chan??!’’
‘’Ryo-kun?!’’
Then Pi sighed.
‘’that’s why I didn’t want you to know, Ryo.’’ he said.
Ueno Juri, the lady with bob haircut and cute smile, wearing a nice suits and skirt, standing in front of Ryo-chan right now. She’s Masami’s bestfriend, so he knew her and she knew Ryo as well.
‘’what- are you two.. eeeeh?’’ Ryo shouted.
Juri-chan just smile sheepishly.
‘’but.. Maki-chan?’’ Shige still clueless.
Then Tomo-kun and Juri staring at each other and laughs before they explained what happened.
‘’everything’s just misunderstanding.’’ He started.
So this is the story. It started when Juri held Maki’s phone that Masami’s borrowed. Suddenly there’s a call from an unknown number, so Juri didn’t answer it. And not long after that, Maki told Tomo that she have a crush on someone, but he thought it was Taka-chan, or Massu, Maki’s childhood friend. So that’s why, he didn’t know what to say when he heard Tegoshi likes her too.
But as once again there’s a call from that unknown number when the phone is in Juri’s hand. Masami and Yamapi also there, too. And Tomo recognized the number as Tegoshi’s. Maki came to get back her phone and then he just asked casually about it.
Maki then said to herself, ‘’is it.. possible that he’s the guy I met last week? Im so stupid as I was too shy to asked his phone number when he asked mine.’’
To heard that, Tomo said it straightforwardly, ‘’a guy name Tegoshi, the one that you met in a goukon?’’

I just rolled up in the carpet on the living room as I play with Nyanta, Kei-chan’s cat.

It’s weird.
Last night when I still watching tv in the living room upstairs, suddenly all of my housemate came into the house together.
And then Ryo-chan gave me something, ‘’there. I bought that for you.’’
‘’what is it?’’
‘’a gift from Singapore.’’ He shouted as he went to his room.
A pink scarf?!?? WHAT TH-
I just want to walk to Ryo-chan’s room as then Tomo-kun said, ‘’hey.. what are you gonna do tomorrow?’’
‘’um.. nothing.’’ somehow it’s uneasy for me to talked to him right now.
‘’great. Why don’t you go with me in a double date?’’
Wait. Tomo-kun. Double date.
‘’eeehh?’’ I shouted. ‘’you have a-a girlfriend?’’
‘’yes. And.. she’s so cute, too.’’ he smiled as he still so cool.
I don’t know what to say. Is it.. Maki? But how could he possibly saying like that to me..
‘’ah, and I also gonna introduce you to someone, because it’s double date, it means you have to go with someone too, right? that makes the 4 of us.’’
‘’ch-chotto (wait)!’’
To make it even worst, Kei-chan said to me, ‘’hey, do you have that Push-on song?’’
‘’yes-‘’
He cut my sentence, ‘’great! I want it. By the way, it reminds me of you, that song.’’
Argh.
And as if they’re not torturing me enough, Shige lifted the pink scarf and say, ‘’oi, why don’t you wear this for tomorrow?’’
Ryo walked out as he said, ‘’yeah.. it’s a nice idea, Shige.’’ And he turned to me, ‘’wear it! or I will be angry.’’

So then the next day I went out with Tomo-kun.
Actually I was so embarrassed with this pink scarf, not to mention Tomo-kun is so cool with his black leather jacket and purple shirt.
As then he smiled when he saw someone, ‘’Juri-chan!!’’
Eh? Who is this girl? She seems got the same age as Tomo-kun, looking really pretty with her dolly-look bob haircut. Even the long knit-sweater and black stocking made her more similar to a doll.
‘’please meet my partner, Ueno Juri. Juri-chan, this is Tegoshi Yuya, my housemate. He’s younger than me, just like my brother.’’ Tomo-kun politely introduced us.
‘’partner?’’ I said it. ‘’ah, gomen (sorry).’’
‘’yes, as in, girlfriend.’’ Tomo-kun frowned as he looked at me.
‘’yoroshiku ne (nice to meet you), I heard so much about you.’’ Ueno-san smiled as then she looked at my scarf. ‘’you look as cute as I imagine.’’
Eh? How did she know about me? and cute? Ahhh~ Im so tired to heard that words. I don’t want to be praise as a cute guy. It makes me look like a girl. And that’s why it’s not really easy for me hanging out with them, because they keep calling me kawaii kawaii (cute)..
‘’ah! I almost forget. Your partner for this blind date is Juri’s little sister, she came by herself, and.. can you pick her up at the entrance?’’ Tomo-kun asked me.
At first, I want to say, why me? but then I just nodded.
‘’Tegoshi-kun! Outside is raining, take this.’’ Ueno-san ran to me as she gave an umbrella. ‘’and my sister actually using the same umbrella as mine.’’
I looked at the red umbrella. Great, now I have to find a girl with a red umbrella.
I walked out and opened my umbrella as I walked at the huge open meeting point.
Red umbrella. Red umbrella.
Where are you?
Then I saw someone with a red umbrella. But I cant see the person because all I can see is only her umbrella.
Suddenly, my phone is ringing.

‘’hai, Kei-chan?’’ I answered.
‘’gomen ne (sorry). I changed your ringtone without saying anything. But I guess it’s for good luck because she actually loves that song.’’ Kei-chan said from the other side.
‘’she? Who?’’
‘’the one that you will meet. The red umbrella girl.’’
‘’ehhh?’’ I exclaimed as I started to look around, ‘’how do you know?’’
‘’just meet her first.’’ He said as I now stand behind the umbrella girl.
‘’ano..’’ I said to her and then she turned around.
Usooooooooo (it’s a lie)!!
‘’Ho-Horikita Maki-chan?’’ I said.
‘’yes, she loves the song that actually irritates you,’’ Kei-chan laughs.
Maki smiled in front of me as I still dumbfoundly talking in the phone with Kei-chan, ‘’no.. I mean.. the red umbrella girl is Maki-chan.’’
Once again he laughs, ‘’WE KNOWWWW!’’ as then he said, ‘’looked behind you!’’
I turned around and saw Tomo-kun with Ueno-san standing there, also with Ryo-chan, Shige, Kei-chan and one guy that I didn’t know.
As Im blushing really hard, I heard Maki said to me, ‘’ne.. what a small world, isnt it?’’
I turned around and saw her blushing too.
Then I heard the guy shouted, ‘’Maki-channn! Look, he even wore your pink scarf!!’’
Eeehh? This pink scarf is belongs to her?
‘’shut up, Taka-chann!’’ she shouted and say to me, ‘’please forgive my friend.’’ And then she said to me as she carefully took the scarf from my neck,
‘’and im sorry, I don’t want to be rude, but I think this scarf is too cute for you. It doesn’t suits you..’’
After saying that she even looked down because she’s shy.
Wait. Does that means she didn’t think im cute?
‘’Oi Taiyouuu! You’re just graduated from cute to being cool!’’ Ryo-chan teased me.
Whatever.
As I took the scarf and round it around her neck, I said, ‘’it suits you more.’’
And now I know.. that she might be the right one then.
