ASD
OK, been away for ages so lots happened. Eldest, Amelia, will be 8 on Sat and is in Year 3. Middle one, Rebecca, is 6, in year 2 and Matthew, youngest, is 5 and in year 1. Am and Matth are excellent readers, Bec not so. Am doesn't always concentrate and finish her work, but is getting better. Doesn't like maths too much though. Matth doesn't was to be a 'naughty' boy at school, but is at home. We have noticed over the years that Bec has behavioural issues and doesn't know when she's having a bowel movement. Various things in place at school (thankfully we have very strong SENCOS there) to help her. She's been assessed by CAMHS and diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Saw her consultant yesterday. Now booked on workshop course thing for parents of newly diagnosed children, which should give us some tips. We think that Matth may have something too as his school and home behaviour is very Jeckyll and Hyde, so hoping this will help us with both of them.
