The first time you ___ alone
My first 'trip alone' was when I was 18, on a trip to Okinawa. I thought I'd go somewhere when I got my car license, so when I got it that's where I went. When I [suddenly] decided to hang out in Okinawa, I went to the airport and I got there in perfect timing for the next plane there. I didn't even have my mobile phone charger, had no idea where I was going to stay, I just went. It's always fun travelling alone. It's easy to explore the places you visit, and being able to move around whenever or however you feel is great. Surprisingly, I really like doing things alone.
Your first reward to yourself
I'm constantly rewarding myself (lol). When would the first time have been...? Since becoming an adult, before I go in to film a drama or at a turning point of my job, then I go and buy the thing I most want as a commemoration. If we're speaking about recently, when I finish a performance, I go by myself on an onsen trip as a present. This is also, of course, travelling alone (lol).
Your first tears of happiness, first man-tears*
At the juvenile world baseball meeting when I was six, we lost the 'Sayonara' game** and I cried. Before then, I'd never really cried much but I was so dissapointed I remember I bawled my eyes out. As for man tears, well I haven't cried any. When I'm on stage there are moments when I think I'm about to cry and I think 'Ah! Tears!' and compose myself, so I can stop myself from crying during a performace. If you're overcome with emotion to the point where you can't keep youself composed, you're gonna cry then, right? Since becoming an adult, more than crying over situations that have changed, I'm more likely to cry while I'm alone, like when I'm watching a movie.
Recently though, when my uncle died, I cried so much my shoulders were shaking. I thought, 'I didn't realize I can still cry like this'. It was the first time I had cried in a long time.
Your first fight
It was my first year of middle school, my first fight was with a professional derelict***. I don't rememeber why we fought, but it wasn't anything that serious. Still, I have this memory of it. Everyone fought around me, so naturally this kind of ranking occured, "It's totally fine to fight that guy, there's no way I'm fighting that guy". If I think about it now, maybe we learned some rules of society through fighting.
At the moment/recently
My drama started so I dyed my hair. I was thinking maybe blondish hair would be good, or black might look good? Everyone kept telling me "black would be better". It was strange for me to enter into the manga world at first, but I thought for now [like the manga character] I'm just going to do whatever the hell I feel like. That's the kind of role I had this time. If we're all really having fun, then the fun will fun will spread, as the Captain I thought that's the kind of scene I wanted. The four of us have all this stupid stuff we want to do, I'm looking forward to it. But I've ended up co-starring with Tegoshi again (lol). I'm going to be with him for about half a year so I'll be spending more time with him than KAT-TUN members! (lol)
Notes:
* That's just gold, isn't it? 'Your first man tears', as opposed to the lady tears he had been crying up till that point. Also, they asked about tears of happiness and he immediatley launches into this harrowing tale of him bawling like a bebeh when he lost some baseball game. Good times.
** A game played in baseball in Japan called Sayonara, probably similar to all those weird games you play in basketball, around the world and all that. I couldn't see any info in English and I really don't care enough to read about it in Japanese.
*** Could also be translated as professional slacker
When he was talking about rewarding himself, I read the word for 'constantly' (しょっちゅう) as the word for Shochu (しょうちゅう), which is like Japanese vodka or something. So at first glance I thought he said the equivalent of 'I reward myself with vodka'. Couldn't wait to start writing a gossip post about Kame's drinking problem but unfortunatley realized I read it wrong before I got to rant. Damnit.
Oh yeah and DON'T STEAL MY SHIT, man! If you want to repost this, play ball! Ask and credit.
Thanks to
This would have been so much more interesting if it were me asking Kame about his firsts. Yes, tell me about:
-The first time you kissed a gay man in a bar.
-First time you got busted by paparazzi fighting with a cabbie.
-First time you drunkenly yelled "Don't you know who I am?!".
-First time you got in trouble in KAT-TUN.
-First time you thought 'I am so much hotter than these guys'.
-The first time you realized you hated Jin (lol).
Ahhh I could go on all night with things I would want to ask for the lulz. Any other ideas?
BTW, Kame is featured in the next AnAn (sale from Oct 13) with a 'long interview'. Long interview, geeze they really know how to reel you in, that's packed with intrigue and suspense. I'd like to think it was going to be one of those super steamy photoshoots and interviews all about sex, but somehow, I just don't see it happening.
