Just a Wee Little Update

Oh gosh, I've got to use this thing more often. I was never good at virtual journals! Anyway, time for a little update; as the title says.

Not much is new, really. Been working, writing for fic, etc. I have been playing WoW with a few good friends, hacking and grinding away to reach the next set of tier armour. A new school semester is to start soon, and I'm quite excited. For one, this means I won't work as much. Not that I'm blowing off my job, mind you, but... the work itself is not quite what I'd like to do for the rest of my life. It's a basic job; menial and temporary. I'm not overly fond of the clientele that frequents, making me realize that my area is quite (to put it nicely) ghetto. Of course, not saying ghetto is bad, but I just wish the customers who go there held a little more respect and manners. I grow tired of putting up with irate tempers and cleaning up pile after pile of their collecting refuse. Soon, very soon, I shall put in my two weeks if I can and hope for the best. This job market is really harsh, so I hope the next job I put in for I have at least a slim chance of making it. And maybe find a job that doesn't deal with food...

Anyway, before that rant, I just played Mass Effect 2 since the longest time and I have to say... the DLC, Project Overlord, was amazing. That was the best DLC I've played for ME in a long time. I felt really sorry for David, especially what he went through, and I found Shepard being submerged into a virtual realm intriguing. The entire package reminded me of my fic with the Architect (the pixelated face appearing randomly). The ending was emotional for me too, for some odd reason; I think it was David's tears as his eyes were pried open and he kept repeating mathematical calculations, appearing helpless and distraught while not fully understanding what was going on.

That was a really great DLC, considering the Kasumi one was... not what I expected, but fun nonetheless. Here's to Lair of the Shadowbroker being much more interesting. Ugh, Liara...

Until next time! I hope to have something sooner than several months.
