I've been reading through Geist: the Sin Eaters. It's a bit of a fat-splat of a World of Darkness book released in October-ish much like Promethean or Hunter but not as huge as Vampire, Mage, or Werewolf. Overall I *like* the ideas in Geist for a story but I just...can't...get...past all the god damn spelling errors and messed up sentence structure. Yeah, I understand that spelling is rather small of a gripe and shouldn't hinder the overall quality of the game being proposed but it's so hard to really take seriously a book when there are horrible spelling errors every couple of pages coupled with the usual useless index. I really want to know what White Wolf's editors are really being paid because you'd think they'd have learned after that whole "The Roll of Glorious Divininty" debacle. I wished that I was making that up but my god, someone got fired for those spelling errors on the front cover title.
I'm still reading a slew of books from the summer because I have this awful habit of reading halfway through one book and then picking up a second book to read halfway and repeating with a third and fourth. I realize that if a book is really good, I'll most likely do this pattern because subconsciously I'm stretching out the book as long as possible. With that said, I'm down to the last fifty pages of World War Z and I've been trying to stretch this book as long as possible along with House of Leaves. I really don't want either book to end. >_<;
