I thought it was terribly fun. I thought it was brilliant the way they pretty much told a classic story in the modern format. At least that's how it felt to me. Like they could have easily turned it into a rollicking 4 parter that would have work in the classic era (except the Dino's would have been crap).
I'd love everyone to return too. And I'd bet money they will all be part of the last story this series. But I do hope we see some more of Neffy (and Riddell) before they are involved in what ever running around cameos they will surely be a part of in the last story.
Do you know Erimem? (Errimem? or some sp?). She's one of the fifth Doctor's audio companions. Another Egyption Queen. If I recall from the Audio's she was an ancestor of Nefritii--but I may be wrong. She became best friends with Peri as they were traveling together. And Peri and Erimimem (or the actresses) worked well together. And it worked to give Peri a strong colleague of about the same age …so Peri wasn't always whining along after the Doctor but found her own The actress did pull off North African queen nearly as well though.
