Canada

I am considering moving to Canada for a year or two in May next year.

How is Toronto? Will it be ok for me to find an office job? Especially with the current economic situation?

Yey Canada!! I am looking into Toronto mainly because it is a big city and I assume there will be plenty of job opportunities. But it will be a two year visa, and if I like it in Canada, I would like to move around and eventually come to Vancouver as well.

Sadly no London for me now, with the current economy downfall, I have to give it a miss. The UK visas are once in a lifetime and hate to not be able to find a job and have to return home because I have run out of cash. I hate to have a visa go to waste. On the other hand, the Canadian visas are very flexible for Australians and can apply more than once as long as you are under 30 years old.

It will be hard to go from nice sunny weather in Australia to the cold and snow of Canada, but they say that Canadians are a friendly bunch of people and the lifestyles are similar to that of ours so it shouldn't be so hard for me to settle in (I hope), especially since I am going on my own.

I am looking for legal secretary jobs or office jobs related to the law field. I hope I can find something there, but will be a bit hard since employers would prefer a local instead of a foreigner staying there temporarily.

I have just got my application ready and got it printed off, I might send it off in the next few days!! I just want to see the world because I think I am driving myself insane staying here!

Thanks for those links, I will look into it to see what they offer. Any other help will be appreciated!
