Hi guys,
Well just letting people know I am still around, but haven’t posted anything in a month! I haven’t been online much now, and haven’t been doing arts lately.
Not sure, but I have no interest or urge to make any icons the past month. I’ve hardly opened Photoshop, but maybe because there is nothing to make arts of, or maybe I have lost interest in all of it now. I think the TV shows need to come back so I can get motivated again, but I have to focus on my studies, I have assignments to do now!
Instead I have been looking online for flights, accommodation, places to visit. I am planning on a trip to the USA over Christmas and New Year for three weeks. It will be my first time overseas and I am planning to go alone, so I am nervous, but excited! I calculated the estimated costs and I will be spending heaps of money, but it’s the experience that counts isn’t it?
I am going to start off in California, go to Disneyland and LA to visit the Universal Studios. Then I will be starting a Contiki Tour seeing the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Yosemite National Park and other places then end up in San Francisco before flying to New York in time for New Years Eve. Planning to stay there for 6 nights in a hotel in either 44th or 45th Street. It’s not easy finding a good hotel in NY at that time, and most hotels are about $500-$600 a night which I have to consider! Then I will be moving to a cheaper hotel after the 1st January. But I want to be near Times Square, but it’s going to be madness, but it’s a rare opportunity for me, so I am going to take it.
So I am open to any suggestions and tips on travelling to the US. What is the weather like in late December/early January, where to go, places to see, whether it’s a good idea to do it alone? Christmas in Las Vegas, New Years in New York, how is that? Disneyland - is one day enough, though I am considering two, places to shop? What to do in LA/Anaheim, San Francisco, and New York (mainly Manhattan) since it’s not part of the tour group and will be on my own?
Also I have ordered some DVDs on Amazon last week:
- Prison Break season 1 (it was cheap)
- Friday Night Lights (only US$19.99!)
- Supernatural season 2 (I’ve finished watching season 1 last week, and I like it, not obsessed like other shows though) and
- The Office season 3. The Office is my favourite show, and I can’t wait to see all the features and goodies.
Smallville season 6 can wait, as a Clana shipper I only liked the last half of the season, others shows I watch can wait too til it goes on sale, I have them on my computer anyway.
Has anyone seen that show Californication with David Duchovny? I've seen the first episode and woah, little Gracie is all grown up! LOL should I continue watching? I don't might the sex scenes, but they are pointless. OMG it was so funny when my 14 year old brother came into my room and walked in during a sex scene, I was yelling to him to get out, get out!! so hilarious!
I watched the finale of Kyle XY today, wtf about the end? Wow can't wait to see what happens next. I think we only have to wait til January, which is great.
Emmys in a couple of weeks, I am really rooting for The Office and Masi Oka.
