Woohyun sighed contentedly as he ambled along slowly next to Sunggyu. The group had organised to go to karaoke after school and that was where they were all headed now. Dongwoo and Hoya had both possessively claimed Sunggyu for their team, while Woohyun had been pulled into the other team by Sungjong much to his disappointment. Dongwoo and Hoya were now discussing strategies for victory while Sungjong plotted something diabolical with Sungyeol. L was staring absentmindedly into the distance as he walked along almost as if he were in deep thought about something. Occasionally he would turn to stare at Sungyeol with a strange look in his eye before sinking back into his own imaginary world again.
Woohyun thought it was a miracle that L never got hit by cars whenever he walked outside, he was that unaware of his surroundings.
He sneaked a glance down at Sunggyu who was singing underneath his breath again. The melody sounded familiar so it was probably something that had he had been singing all day because it was stuck in his head. Sunggyu sweet voice broke off when he noticed Woohyun gazing at him.
“Why the stares? I don’t have something on my face, do I?”
Woohyun grinned before replying, “If by something you mean, the cutest cheeks ever, then yes.”
“Yah! My cheeks aren’t like that! I’m manly!”
“Sureeee….if thinking that way makes you feel better, then sure. But in my eyes, Kim Sunggyu will always have the cutest chubby cheeks!”
“The cheese is killing me…”
“GYU HAS CHUB- “
“YAH! Stop it!” Sunggyu blushed furiously as he landed a punch on Woohyun’s arm. Woohyun winced, he had forgotten how strong Sunggyu’s punches were. He grinned as he saw Sunggyu’s cheeks puff up angrily making them even cuter than they already were. He turned around and made a heart at the exasperated Sunggyu.
“This is how much I love your cheeks!” He joked as he shot some more hearts at him and showed him his aegyo, knowing that Sunggyu couldn’t help but laugh at this. And he did, his annoyed expression crumbling in the face of Woohyun’s famous aegyo as he hid his face in his hands to avoid the airborne hearts floating at him.
Woohyun smiled to himself, he loved hearing Sunggyu laugh. He watched confused as Sunggyu abruptly turned around, the smile disappearing from his face.
“What’s wrong?”
Sunggyu stared a bit longer before turning back, confused about the strange feeling he had felt on the back of his head and muttering,
“It’s nothing. Just my imagination…”
“Haha, maybe it was my invisible hearts you were feeling?, said Woohyun hopefully as Sunggyu stuck his tongue out at him.
“Ahh…what would I do without your aegyo Woohyun?” sighed Sunggyu as he leant on Woohyun’s shoulder comfortably. Woohyun was slightly shocked at Sunggyu’s initiation of physical contact. He peered down at the light-haired boy and couldn’t stop his lips curving into a smile. Sunggyu felt so...good. He was soft to touch and Woohyun could feel Sunggyu’s body heat through the thin fabric of their shirts.
He could’ve sworn his heart was about to jump out of his chest, it was beating that loudly. Woohyun wondered whether Sunggyu could hear his overly loud heartbeat and pondered whether Sunggyu was just as nervous and self-concious as he was right then. Probably not, decided Woohyun. After all, he didn’t even know if Sunggyu felt the same way about him. He sighed as the two walked along the sunlit road, leaning comfortably against one another.
Sunggyu could feel Woohyun’s hand swinging gently against his as they strolled down the street, trailing behind the rest of the group. He resisted the urge to curl his fingers around Woohyun’s, the urge to explore the dips and curves of Woohyun’s strong hand. He sighed mentally to himself. Why do I keep having these thoughts? thought Sunggyu frustratingly as he tried to calm down his frantic heart. Ever since that day he had been found by Woohyun in the music room, Sunggyu had felt his eyes drawn inevitably towards Woohyun everytime they were together in the same room. He was always conscious of the dark-haired boy’s presence and always felt his heart flutter and skip a beat everytime Woohyun smiled one of his breath-taking smiles.
Jeez, what’s with the way I’m acting lately, sighed Sunggyu thoughtfully.
He was really finding it hard to think, much less breathe whenever Woohyun was in the same room as him. His own thoughts confused Sunggyu; he didn’t know what to think. He didn’t feel this way towards Hoya and Dongwoo, and they were his friends too. Why was Nam Woohyun the exception?
I mean, it’s not like I’m in love with him or anything…
Right?
.….Oh. My. God.
Woohyun looked at Sunggyu in concern as the latter suddenly froze, a strange expression on his face.
“Yah Sunggyu? Sunggyu? Hellooooo?”
The light-haired was still frozen in place as a series of thoughts rushed through his head.
What!? NO WAY. IT CAN’T BE. I would’ve noticed! But how? Why? When!? It’s really too STRANGE. How can I like Woohyun? He’s just a friend right? Just a friend…right? Wait, if he’s just a friend, then why do I feel like this? Feels like my hearts going to burst everytime I see him and those urges to touch him. Friends don’t do that! So I’m not his friend!? Then what am I!? CALSJFNVASDANCV! What do I do? What do I say to hi- OMG he’s staring at me. ShitshitshitwhatdoIdo? I can’t just confess, he’ll think I’m insane. Shit, what should I do!? OMG STOP STARING AT ME!
“STOP STARING AT ME!”
“Huh?” blinked Woohyun at the sudden outburst.
“W-wha-? I mean…” stuttered Sunggyu, blushing furiously as he realised he had said the last part of his thoughts out loud.
Woohyun shook his head in amusement as he chuckled.
“Care to share with me what you were thinking so hard about?”
He laughed again as Sunggyu turned red and shook his head furiously. He’s acting a bit strange…but it’s cute, mused Woohyun as they resumed their slow pace, I wish he’d hurry up and figure out how I feel for him already…
Little did Woohyun know that Sunggyu was doing exactly that plus a whole lot more thinking.
It makes sense now! These weird feelings and urges I’ve been having lately. But why didn’t I notice earlier!? I mean, I can’t be that dumb, can I? Right? Maybe I am? Arghhh I dunno what to say to Woohyun. This is so awkward. Wait! Woohyun…does he even like me back!? Now that I think about it, he treats me differently from the rest of the gang, like he’s always looking at me…omg this is so complicated. Maybe he likes me? I dunno though…I’m kinda scared to ask, I mean, that’s not exactly a normal thing to do, suddenly ask a friend whether he likes you back. Jeez…what should I do now? How do I act around him? Being in love is complicated...
Dongwoo and Hoya peered curiously behind them at the pair trailing lazily behind them. Woohyun had that look on his face, the look that said he wanted to touch Sunggyu and hold him and do many kinds of things that did not fall under just friendship. Sunggyu on the other hand was preoccupied by something, and for the first time since the Yadong couple had known him, it did not look like music that was distracting him. In fact, he even looked a bit uncomfortable, if not embarrassed at his close proximity with Woohyun. He kept shifting and playing with the edge of his shirt, stiffening and blushing everytime Woohyun’s hand would inadvertedly brush by his side.
Hoya elbowed Dongwoo in the side and Dongwoo prodded him back painfully as revenge. They exchanged glances and grinned in triumph as they observed the cute and sometimes awkward pair behind them.
“Hey Hoya?”
“Yeah..?”
“Are you thinking what I am?”
“Oh yeahhhh…”
“Our baby Sunggyu’s growing up! Looks like he finally noticed.”
“OMG FINALLY. I thought we were gonna die before Sunggyu ever realises his own feelings even though we’ve been prodding him along this whole time…”
“I totally get what you mean. Haha we should totally start our own matchmaking service. I swear, we are such geniuses!”
“Mm-hm. Good timing too, I was starting to get sick of stalking them everywhere and dropping all these hints to Sunggyu. He’s way too naïve. We should’ve just corrupted his mind when we met him.”
“Yeah. Now all we have to do is get Woohyun to sleep with him and it’ll be official!”
“Uhh Dongwoo, I don’t quite think it works like that…”
“Why not? It’s how we did it…”
“Yeah, but that’s us. If Woohyun even tried to do something like that, Sunggyu would die of embarrassment before Woohyun even gets in his pants…”
“Urghh that’s so troublesome, so what do we do?”
“Let’s just wait it out. Besides, we gotta work on those two don’t you think?” smirked Hoya as he gestured towards Myungyeol, their new pet nickname for L and Sungyeol.
“Ohhh yeah…” smiled Dongwoo as his eyes glittered with evilness, “I have the perfect idea…”

Okay, this is what we’re gonna do… When we’re finished, that asshole won’t even be able to look Woohyun in the eye again.
Did everyone agree? We’ll have to split up to do this…
Of course they did! Even some of the guys said they’d help out!
Maybe we’ll leave that pathetic slut for them to play around with when we’re finished!
Haha, that should teach him a lesson he won’t forget anytime soon!
When do we start?
As soon as we can get Woohyun away from him. We don’t want him to know.
Right, he’ll thank us later. We’re just helping him out.
Yeah, maybe he’ll rewards us later for helping him clear that trash out of his way.
Hahaha, after this, no one will mess with our Woohyun again.
Yeah, because HE’S OURS.

Their karaoke session turned out…well? Woohyun and Sunggyu acted awkward and like shy schoolgirls around each other and Sungjong and the Yadong couple took turns staking them out. The trio had laughed everytime Sunggyu blushed or when Woohyun had tripped over the power cord only to land on top of Sunggyu, which almost caused the latter to faint of embarrassment.
As for Myungyeol, Sungjong had collaborated with the Yadong masterminds about what to do with the pair. From what they’d seen over the past month or so, Sungyeol had been getting increasingly close to Myungsoo, but L had yet to notice or to realise that he was in danger of being attacked by a certain choding. Sungjong had also been watching their activities for the past month, and being one of Myungsoo’s closest friends had observed that L wasn’t exactly as clueless as they thought he was. On more than a few occasions, Sungjong had caught Myungsoo staring at Sungyeol with a strange expression on his face as if he was trying to figure something out.
He rarely got angry at the choding nowadays, and just accepted the randomness as it came. If anything, L got along quite well with Sungyeol now, even spending some time with him alone (previously, Sungyeol had to trick and blackmail him into coming with him anywhere). Sungjong had waited for the two to confess their feelings for each other for a while. He had waited. And waited. And waited. AND WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED.
They were almost as frustrating as the Woogyu couple, he thought. And even after countless hints and completed plans, the idea still had not dawned on Myungsoo yet. So Sungjong who was starting to get exasperated with the slow action, had turned to the Yadong couple for help. In the end, they had decided that drastic action had to be taken, or else Myungsoo would never understand. When it came to being clueless, Myungsoo made Sunggyu look like Einstein. He was so absent minded that the idea would never occur to him without some help. Or in his case, a LOT of help.
So the trio had hatched a plan and pulled Myungsoo and Sungyeol into a private karaoke booth. Alone. Together.
And then Sungjong locked the room.
“And you’re not coming out until you’ve had sex!” cried Dongwoo happily as he chucked the key into the nearest rubbish bin. Hoya grinned malevolently as he heard a scream of alarm and shock that sounded surprisingly like L. Like before, Sungyeol never ceased to surprise Myungsoo.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING YOU CHODI-!?“
“Looks like Sungyeol’s making his move already…that was fast!”
