LC self study
I've been thinking a lot about becoming a lactation consultant. I really want to be able to go back to work as soon as possible, and I'm not really jazzed on doing floor nursing or midwifery right now. I want something that isn't real stressful that I don't have to think about much while I'm home. And I really don't want to be on call. Becoming an LC seems like the perfect thing right now. I'm looking into picking up a couple of textbooks on Amazon to start the whole self study process. I don't think I would be taking the certification exam until 2009 or 2010. Unless both of my kids magically start sleeping really well and I have the brainpower and energy to read more and focus.
Really, I'd like to read more in general, but that is very optimistic right now.
