The Indiegogo campaign for the circus center got off to a good start with donations but has since stalled. Per Indiegogo guidelines, Tuesday is a bad day for donations so we didn't do anything active to try and kickstart it.
However, we're trying to up our Gogo factor today, which will make us more visible when people are browsing through Indiegogo. Apparently, if people click through onto our campaign and interact with it, our gogo factor gets helped. So it would be super lovely if any or all of you would
click here and Like or Plus our campaign (based on your network of preference). If you feel moved to watch the video or give us a donation while you're there (Small Ball has a cameo in the video), that would be super extra fabulous. But everything helps. I'm supposed to be able to embed a pretty widget, but it's not working. :(
When we reach $500, I'm planning on making a video of core conditioning moves that can be done with an indoor pull-up bar as a thank you. We're trying to think of ways to keep the campaign fun, so our posts about it aren't just spam. I posted something on our
business Facebook page asking for suggestions of fun things people would want to see and was sad not to get suggestions. We're a little disappointed with the level of support we're getting from our Meetup community for things like that, but I think it's just not a group that's really into engaging in social network circles. Which I understand because I'm not super into it either.
It's hard to know what to expect with classes. I'm getting expressions of interest in the drop-in aerial class, but not people pre-purchasing. OTOH, we're marketing as drop ins and our pre-purchase option is fairly janky so I don't think it's necessarily meaningful. But it is stressful because it means we just don't know. I keep trying to remind myself that it is totally normal for it to take us a bit of time to build up classes, which is why we're renting from places with a low hourly rental rate.
We have a cyr wheel class that I really want to succeed because it's so cool. The challenge of it is that we can only accommodate a very limited height range right now due to the nature of cyr wheel. So far, we're having a mismatch between the people who'd like to take it and the people who can take it.
