Excerpt from "Descent"
That Zuko wanted him kept Aang off-base for the rest of the evening. They hadn't exchanged a word after Zuko's non-verbal revelation of his sexual interest in the Avatar. As they headed back to the village in tense uncomfortable silence, Aang found himself beset with images of sharing a bed with his one-time nemesis.
Aang, who not too long ago celebrated his nineteenth birthday, knew full well the pleasures to be had at the touch of another man, though his sexual experience with members of his own sex had been largely limited to Sokka, who had found himself in the odd situation of his lover Suki bringing Aang into bed with them after he had accused her once too often of wishing to sleep with his friend. She had then promptly and amply demonstrated for them that six hands could be better than four, and in the confused tangle of legs, lips and hands both men had found pleasure in each other.
When finally they arrived back at the village, Zuko finally broke the silence between them, ordering Aang to keep their liaison secret before telling the younger man to meet him in his suite after the party.
Aang nodded simply at Zuko, who then left his presence without another word. A while later, Aang procured a promise from a certain blind earthbender not to reveal to anyone about what may transpire between him and Zuko that night.
“… You and Zuko…?”
“I know. I know. I’m just as surprised as you are.”
“… And you’re going to let him… have you, Aang?”
“I’m not yet sure about that, Toph.”
The Avatar’s indecision rose when, upon granted entry into Zuko’s room, the older man dressed only in a robe, without preamble, told Aang to-
“Take off your clothes and get on the bed.”
