As a special present for all of us Songko/Zusong fans out there, I've got two presents for you guys, a short ficlet set within the
Roulette universe, and a fanmix! So, first things first, the ficlet!
Song smiled as she looked out over the sea, curled up against her new husband's side. She couldn't help but worry a bit about Yì Suì - she didn't like leaving him alone, although both Ursa and Kouji had promised to keep an eye on him. She let out a soft sigh.
"Hm?" Zuko asked, looking down at her. While he wasn't quite smiling - he never did, really - he looked happier than she'd yet seen him.
"I'm just worried about Yì Suì," she replied, threading the fingers of her left hand through his right and giving him a soft smile. "I guess this is how mothers feel when they have to leave their children even for a few hours…"
He nodded. "Right." He squeezed her hand lightly.
Song let out a happier sigh and snuggled a little deeper her in his embrace. "So, tell me about the island again?" she asked him.
"It's small, less than a mile across in one direction, and about half a mile in the other," he told her. "There's a house there, and we'll basically have it to ourselves."
Except, of course, for their guards, but the men and women coming with them had been especially chosen for their unobtrusiveness and ability to stay out of sight while still on guard, so the effect was still the same. "Sounds heavenly," Song told him, shifting upward slightly to kiss Zuko's cheek.
"Yes," he said, slowly, flushing a little.
Song giggled. Two years, and she could still make him go red. "I can't wait," and now there was a near-purr to her tone. He flushed darker, correctly reading the subtext that purr indicated, and his wife laughed again. "Just a few hours 'till we get there?"
"About two," he said.
"Works for me," she replied, and kissed him again.
He kissed back, curling close to her.

When they arrived, they were somewhat dishevelled, but happy. Song now stood at Zuko's side, still holding his hand as they disembarked from the craft. "It's so pretty," she whispered.
"Yeah," he said, squeezing her hand a little. The house was fairly small, and up on stilts - it was close enough to the beach that it ran the risk of getting washed away during the rainiest parts of the year. Unlike many noblewomen of both their kingdoms, however, Song didn't turn her nose up at its size. Instead, she excitedly dragged Zuko towards it with her, wanting to explore thoroughly.
Zuko followed close up to the little house.
Inside, it was soft and a bit dark, until they opened all the windows and the sunlight came in. Everything inside was wood and fine linen - relatively cheap and easy to replace, just in case the stilts weren't enough to protect it from flooding. What decorations there were were also simple, and pretty, but nothing precious.
"It's wonderful, Zuko," Song told him. Her smile hadn't left her face since Qiang's distraction at the wedding reception.
"Yeah, it is," he agreed, kissing her cheek lightly. The guards had stayed outside to let them explore the house in privacy - they'd sent a pair in advance to make sure it was empty and free of traps.
Her smile broadened, and she turned, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him in return. He slid his arm around her back, wishing he had another to tangle in her hair. Song, however, didn't seem to mind the missing limb; her kiss was every bit as heated as the one she'd given him before propositioning him on his eighteenth birthday. Remembering that, he flushed again.
Song pulled away and rubbed her nose lightly against his, smiling at the blush. "So," she said softly.
"So?" he asked, a little nervously.
She gave him a mischievous little smile. "Want to check out the bedroom?"
He flushed darker. "Sure," he said.
Song really did purr this time, taking his hand and leading him back to the bedroom. He followed her there quietly, heart racing with mingled nervousness and anticipation.
No sooner had he shut the door than Song pounced on him, kissing him passionately. He kissed her back, a little surprised by her ardour but certainly not displeased. They moved towards the bed, shedding clothing along the way, until Song toppled onto the sheets with Zuko on top of her.

Afterwards, they lay curled up together on the bed. Zuko had his eyes closed, just breathing. He reached for her hand. Song threaded her fingers through his and rolled a little closer to him, tucking her head under his chin. He kissed the top of her head, not opening his eyes.
"I love you, Zuko," she whispered, closing her own eyes.
"I love you, too," he whispered back, squeezing her hand lightly.
Song smiled and curled closer against him. "We'll get through anything together."
"Yeah," he agreed, softly, completely believing it in that moment.
And now, the fanmix! Please note that this mix has absolutely nothing to do with the above fic.
