I also missed your posts too -- the witty bantar about Chinese culture and how different it is to America (and even more so, upper midwest america) just made me laugh. BTW, I so recited some entries about the misadventures of you getting accustomed to friends, And have mentioned "Well I have a friend in grad school studying in China right now..."
Even if you don't end up in FM -- you could also come down to the twin cities. I know of some companies that you might be interested in. I work for a staffing agency that also might have a lead (Adecco) and my contract is with 3M (seriously, HUGE international company? Mandarin has to involved somewhere)
Also, when you said Mandarin and Tech in the same sentence, this came to mind.
Cirque does have ZAiA in Macau, and they also have ZEB (?) in east Asia as well. All the other posistions are corporate degrees, but they also explicitly state on every applicatin (I've tried) that you must speak at least French and English, and preferably, other languages.
