Actual Example Sentences from My Chinese Textbook
I had to doubletake, stare in disbelief, and the LOL when I read these sentences this morning.
我拥护男女平等， 可我这么个大男人去给一个女领导当秘书我觉得有点那个。
I support women's equality, but a big man like me going to be a woman's secretary? I think it's a bit much.
那些男人都喜欢漂亮而没有头脑的女孩子，所以你不要太聪明了，要不你在男人里可没有什么市场。
Those guys all like pretty, brainless girls, so don't be too smart, otherwise you won't fit in them them over there.
Granted, both of these sentences do a very good job of demonstrating the phrase they are supposed to be teaching, and I highly doubt that Beijing Language and Culture University (book publisher) actually feels this way, but I still basically just sat there going o_O for a little while in class.
