Been following the whole new settlement shenanigans in Jerusalem this past week - what with Netenyahooooooo doing as much as he can to sabotage any chance for talks - and wonder what the middle east region would be like today if the west backed the Arab side all these years instead of the Israeli side. Alternative history is purely subjective, but my POV is that it has to be better than it is now. Granted, just about EVERY Jew I know feels the world has always backed the Arabs and poor little victim Israel is just an innocent in the whole fiasco - then when they realize their arguing on very thin moral grounds they mention the holocaust as though that gives Israel the right to act like the Germans in WWII.
Why do we still send money that way? How about putting the billions we give Israel every year to social security instead? Let them fund their war machine by themselves - hell, maybe China can loan them infinite amounts of money as they do us. We shouldn't have to go further into debt to help a country that since it's inception is credited with close to 90% of the espionage against the U.S. (that's according to "They dare to Speak out" by I believe Paul Findley - man did I just cite a Republican???!?!?!?!) So many problems just because of some militant minority religion. Why not give Wales to the Druids - we must repay the injustice of religious genocide that was waged against them. Seems just as logical.
PS: I'm also VERY tired of holocaust documentaries. The subject has been covered!!!!
